Updated Review: 09/08/24nnI’m updating my previous one-star review because there has finally been a positive resolution, thanks to Gavin Sharp in van sales, who went above and beyond to sort out the issue, even coming in on his day off. Unfortunately, the experience hasn’t changed my view of the service department; the poor service and attitude there were incredibly disappointing. Iain, the manager, made the situation worse initially, and there’s a lot he could learn from Gavin about customer service.nnIt's frustrating that I had to resort to social media to get this resolved. While I wouldn’t use this service department again, I would buy from Gavin and his team. However, this experience has left me questioning whether I’d buy a Ford again. The service team blamed Ford, claiming they only get paid when they find a fault, despite well-documented issues with the hands-free system on Ford Ranger forums. It’s disappointing that if they can't replicate a known fault, the customer ends up paying. This is a major failing on Ford's part.nnReview from 08/08/24nShocking service, FORD should step in!! I will not buy a car or use their services again! Bought brand new Ford Ranger in Dec, it was called in for recall check, fair enough, while it was in I asked them to check the engine management light that was on but subsequently switched itself off and the hand free playing up, both would be under warranty for a new car, I was informed that if they could not find a fault with engine management that I would be charged £140??? Did I still want this checked? I was baffled! The ford app tells you to contact a dealer??? Just don't contact this one!! Then I'm told I have to pay £140 as they could not find the fault with the hands free?? As they couldn't replicate it, I have to pay!! So basically they are saying I can't be having a problem as they couldn't find it? I asked did you try with android phone, guy said no an iPhone!!! That's why you can't replicate it!!! I await to see if Gavin Sharp, Iain Cameron or Service Manger Merissa can rectify this appalling Service!! I will be contacting Ford directly if there's not a satisfactory resolution!
On arrival to my appointment was greeted by Lewis Stevenson. He was very professional and most helpful With the purchase of our new car. All the through the process he assisted with all the documentation. Would highly recommend Evans Halshaw.
Came in for a quick browse to see potential options for financing a new carnnOne of the guys who was working - callum was happy to talk me through the different options and showed me loads of different cars.nn10/10 experience, the guy was really good at explaining things and came across really genuine. Would definitely consider getting a car from here in the future.
Great service from the sales team at Evans Halshaw Ford Coatbridge. The process of purchasing a car was very efficient with all paperwork done digitally. A special mention to the Head of Business Iain Cameron who kept the dealership open as I was running late.
Excellent service , Lewis was very helpful from the minute we walked in until we picked up the car. Took time to ask what we needed and always happy to answer any questions or queries we had!nHighly recommend
