Collected my new car on Tuesday I am very happy with my experience at Ashton. I felt like a valued customer and Peter spent time explaining all the options regarding finance and warranties, that I needed to know, in a clear and understandable way. He was professional and enabled us to consider a finance plan that meant we were able to upgrade our car more than expected. Having looked at several other garages over the last week this was, by far, the best for professional service. I look forward to returning again in a couple of years!
John was my salesman and i absolutely cannot recommend him enough. I had a rather long wait for my new car and very little communication from the showroom during this time however once John took over my sale due to somebody else leaving, he went above and beyond to ensure that i had regular communication and updates on the delivery of my car. John was extremely helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. He encouraged me to contact him at any time after my sale was completed if i had any questions or issues and if it wasn't for him i probably wouldn't be going back to ford again.
The guys at EH Ashton were very good to deal with, especially Dom, Tom & Joshua. I am pleased with my car and took advantage of the home delivery service, which was very seamless. We went along last week to look at replacing our car, and were a bit unsure about our options and budget in terms of a new or used one. Dominic Burns took great care of us and took the trouble to explain all the finance options and new vehicles available from stock. In the end we decided our budget didn't quite run to new, so he handed us over to Peter Ames who was equally thorough, helpful, and professional, while never making us feel pressured. We bought a 21 plate Puma and we're so pleased with it and the value given for our part exchange. Everyone we met was courteous and friendly, and the management should be most pleased with the professionalism of their showroom staff. Would recommend anyone to go to Evans Halshaw Ashton U Lyne for a new or used car.
Josh is an asset to the team at Evans Hallshaw Ashton. He is thorough, understanding and was attentive to the specific car I wanted. He made my experience extremely smooth and when the finance did not process in time for me collecting my new car, he drove me and my mum home. Do not buy a vehicle from here!! Needed a bigger car following the birth of my son so bought a 2 year old Kia Sportage from them less than 6 months ago. Worst decision I ever made, spent over 20k and the turbo and engine have both gone. Was told it had a full service history so thought I could at least get it repaired under Kia’s warranty only to be told by Kia it didn’t have the service history. Now they are refusing to repair the car and my family is 20k out of pocket struggling with a baby, car seat, pushchair or pram in my partners 3 door hatchback. Buy your next car from anyone but these people!! they are liars and will take your money without any care for the lemon they sold you once you get off that for court.

He was very patient with me and explained everything to me in full detail. Parts exchanged my car for another car. Fantastic service very patient and listened to my requirements and gave me lots of options to consider. The used car salesman Jack Reid was exceptional and very polite and helpful along with his manager. Highly recommended for a used car. Definitely worth a visit to Evans Halshaw Ashton. This is my 2nd car from them and I shall be returning when I’m ready to part exchange again. Susan G
Please read all the reviews before making a decision about purchasing a vehicle from this branch. All of the good reviews on here seem to be from people who have literally just walked off the forecourt after buying their car. I imagine they beg their new customers to do a five star review whilst they are still caught up in the excitement of their new vehicle in order to counteract the many negative reviews from long standing customers. Drill down on the reviews further click 'lowest' above and it's clear that it is the aftercare that is truly shocking. Long story short, bought my car from them in Nov 21, numerous issues soon after purchase but a refusal from Evans Halshaw to fix them. Paid £300 for my own independent report which confirmed the faults were long standing and assessed these to be 'safety critical' issues. The Ombudsman assessor dealing with the case also ruled in my favour and yet they are STILL refusing to fix the issues choosing instead to challenge a professional engineers report and an Ombudsman assessor. This shows the level of arrogance at this branch and how much they care about customer care and safety. This is a family car that I use to take my 2 young children to school in that has safety critical issues!!! If that wasn't bad enough, I even took out the extra 3 year warranty. In my 40 years on this earth I have never dealt with such a heartless and disgusting company. Absolutely shocking. AVOID EVANS HALSHAW ASHTON
