Very helpful, attentive and friendly staff. The shop has massive range of ordinary bikes. We were there to buy electric and the range of examples perhaps could have been larger. Raleigh were well represented, but it would have been nice to have the equivalent Cube, and some others, to provide a comparison. We visited other shops, but they too provided a limited example range. Through our own fault we bought bikes that were too large, but Evans' 30 day exchange policy and the staff's helpfulness made changing to the correct size a breeze. I'm happy to recommend them.
A wonderful service and experience from start to finish. The initial set up and fitting of my road bike has improved my daily rides. The information and advice from the staff in the shop has was superb. I will highly recommend Evans Cycles to all my cycling friends. Thank you so much for all you help and guidance.
I have visited the Macclesfield store on a couple of occasions over the last couple of weeks to renew and update cycling attire and components. I've found the staff to be really helpful and knowledgeable, offering much needed advice for myself. I was overwhelmed with the choice of products on offer. I only wish I was in a position to buy a new bike as the range in store is great.
Great store with quality products, made excellent by the staff. Knowledgable, friendly, and endlessly patient! Andy, Jacob and Finn were all incredibly helpful and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend a visit here if you’re either looking for a new bike or just need some advice.
I have just visited the Macclesfield store. I have never witnessed such appalling customer service. The lady was serving another customer. Even after almost ten minutes she did not raise her head or acknowledge my husband, daughter and I. It was painful as there was only ourselves and the other customers in the store so it felt so painfully awkward. There were two other team members in the store, both head down wanting to avoid any eye contact. It was beyond ridiculous. We left and went across the road to purchase our daughters first bike plus accessories. We must not have looked like serious cyclists but if I was this would be the last place I would visit for advice.
Recently bought a Cannondale from this shop. Very helpful and knowledgeable store manager. I attempted to use the other store in Trafford but found they were useless, zero attention to detail. Ordered bike here at Macclesfield shop, was told it would arrive at 2 30pm... built by 5pm. However it was delivered and built by 1pm :. Would recommend to others! Thanks!
There was an abnormal amount of play with my rear wheel, as it was under warranty I took it into this store. Five days later they got around to looking at it. After the first ride I noticed there was a grinding noise coming from the rear wheel. Took it to an independant shop where I was informed that the cones had been tightened up but they were only finger tight and were about to come loose again. Also the free hub was full of grit. Basically the bare minimum was done just about, but it was about to all come loose again. Spoke to the manager of the store who was completely un interested, using the words ' what do you want us to do?'. The only positive was that Evans customer services pais for the work to be done independantly at my local shop. Otherwise this would have cost £60 to rectify. I agree with one of the previous reviews regarding the attitudes of some staff here, although some are helpful, there are others who act as though its beneath them to speak to you. In the future I will never purchase anything from this company or risk anymore shoddy work being done on my bike
I've bought several bikes from Evans over the years, mainly because of their excellent service. The staff are really knowledgable and helpful.
Very helpful and friendly people. Allowed me plenty of time to look at different electric bikes. On my second visit I bought a bike.
Really friendly and helpful staff. Andy, Chris and Louis solved my problem. They advised me what to do putting my safety first. Left the shop happy :
