Despite numerous issues with trying to log onto your site in the store I had a most memorable visit. The young man on the till helped me out but he was unsuccessful in the end Peter sorted it out and fitted my wipers and checked my car over. Everyone in the store was super friendly and so caring and helpful. Thanks guys

I took my electric scooter in for a puncture repair to be told initially it couldn't be done before Christmas. I appealed to their better nature, and they said possibly in a week or so if they could find the time. I explained that i needed the scooter to help me with my mobility issues. They said they would see what they could do. Lo and behold 2 hours later i received a call to inform me that the puncture had been repaired! Fantastic news and thank you so very much. i would have been satisfied if it was returned in a few days but to get it back two hours later was fabulous. Thank you very much indeed and it was very much appreciated. 5* without doubt for my Halfords experience today

Excellent service. I was looking for mudguards for my new bike. I was very ably assisted by Dave at Macclesfield. He went 'above and beyond' in making sure I had the right ones and took the trouble to show me how to fit them. He even found me a different bolt to custom fit my bike. Thanks a lot.

booked a free bike assessment online. when i get there i was told i am not booked, i said i had a text confirmation. she had a looked anyway at my burst E-trike tire. she said they dont have a replacement for a fat tire inner tube and the bearing seem to be broken or loose, she said "it something they dont do.. If staff can walk an extra mile and said to me if you can get the spare parts and will do the service, i would gladly pay for the service fee. but it something halfords dont do. they rather refuse a potential customer.

Booked a mobile home visit for them to change the car battery on my Mercedes E-class. Engineer who came out couldn’t fit it and admitted he was ‘winging it’ having never fitted an E-class battery before!!! He left after an hour and said they would send someone else out. A second, apologetic engineer came out 4 hours later but was unable to complete the job. This was due to the first engineer damaging the bolt and knackering the battery tray. I now will have to take my car to Mercedes for the repair at additional time and expense!! Thanks Halfords - a nightmare experience of total incompetence!!!

Overcharged. Can’t call store. Virtual chat doesn’t understand what ‘overcharged’ means so ends chat. So I’m expected to go back to store to attempt to resolve their fault?

Collected from the Macclesfield store a new rear wiper I bought online. Went to fit the rear wiper in the car park & when I opened the box it was clear that the wiper was an old used one! It was muddy, the black plastic was faded by the sun & the rubber was deteriorated. I immediately went back inside & showed a member of staff. I invited him to come & look at the old knackered one on my car to prove I hadn’t already fitted the new one. He said nothing, went & got another from the shelf & said in a sarcastic manner ‘will that do you?’ So rude! Well as long as it’s a new one like I paid for then the answer was yes! No apology from him, no nothing. He clearly wasn’t happy that the scam going on in the Macclesfield store had been rumbled! I won’t be shopping at the Macclesfield store again.

I'm sure the subwoofer will be fine when I get someone to fit it. However the reason I chose Halfords was because they offered a service to check the product would fit and then fit it. I paid and booked an appointment at the Hanley store. I then got a message saying Hanley couldn't do it and only Crewe and Macclesfield could. So customer services confirmed these stores could do it so I booked in for Macclesfield. On Wednesday I got a phone call from the Macclesfield store to say they couldn't do it as they have no one who knows how to do it. They checked with Crewe and they can't either. As I bought the subwoofer with a voucher I couldn't just have a refund so I've picked it up and now have to get someone to fit it. So don't believe Halfords site when it lets you book appointments for assessments or fittings

Came to halfords at around 7:10pm to get two lights replaced on my car which was done perfectly fine no issues, however before i drove away i noticed my bonnet lid wasn’t shut properly due to that i got some assistance to help close it, however it was clear too see that it was catching and something has happened to it, which was never an issue before hand so clearly it’s been slammed down too hard and something has slipped out of place. had two other member of staff try to help but due to the store shutting at 8pm obviously nobody wanted to proceed to help me with my bonnet which like i mentioned WAS NOT DAMAGED BEFORE HAND. so therefore the staff packed up and left i was left outside the store until roughly around 11pm, bare in mind i’m a 21 year old girl and was travelling alone, no RAC showed up and had to be recovered by my Dad. i’m more annoyed over the service because they didn’t want to stay and help past end of shift even though they knew they were leaving a young girl alone in a dark car park.

Tried to purchase a car battery from Halfords on line. Spent half an hour speaking to untrained, hopeless people. Totally useless service. Went to Macclesfield motor factors got local professional advise . Halfords on line TOTAL WASTE OF TIME
