The guys at Evans Castleford have restored my faith in costumer service especially on this occasion as my intentions were not to purchase but I needed help with my crank arm because my Pedal had cross threaded in the are !!! The one guy that helped placed my bike on the repair stand and fixed it for me at no cost although I offered …. Really friendly helped me out loads as I had roughly a 25 mile ride back home ! Excellent choice of bikes and accessories. The staff all have very good knowledge of their departments and are able to answer questions about any aspect of the store. Last Month, March 2022 I bought an excellent mountain bike/roadbike crossover by Australian manufacturer Ceres. With a helmet by Evdura and a bright orange jersey by Fwe plus water bottle and holder countless other items are readily available I have to award Evens Cycles 10/10 Borderline Eleven The Photos Are © Paul Pòl Ruddock Photography 2022.
Blown away by the service here. Just walked in with a tubeless tyre I couldn’t seal and after trying everything, Jamie highlighted what was probably the problem and then put a tube in for me in interim to get me moving. In and out in less than 15 mins without an appt and cost £6.50!! Thank you Jamie and Evans.
When this store first opened it was staffed by rude and very unhelpful people so I have always avoided it. I needed a new cycle helmet and I believe it's something that you should definitely try before you buy for comfort and safety reasons. The Halfords store had a very poor selection so reluctantly I visited Evans. I was very impressed from the moment I walked in. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The choice of helmets was good and had something for all budgets. I found a helmet that fitted perfectly so I bought one for commuting and one for best They had a well presented and good selection of bikes, parts and accessories. I will definitely be using them in future.
Worse bike shop ever. Unchaining the bikes to pull out was a chore for them. No advice whatsoever for fitting... 'you look like a medium' ...very helpful to choose the right frame and setup. Oh and you can't ride the bike... Even a little,.. as one time someone rode off and stole one. The whole point of going to a physical bike shop is to sit on the bike, get some good advice about fit and at least pedal a couple of turns.
Dropped my bike off for a service today the member of staff I dealt with was very helpful,patient amd wasn't trying to talk me into spending any more money than necessary. Just like alot of other stores they are having issues with suppliers and didn't have all the parts I wanted to replace.
Meant to post this review a few weeks ago. I had an issue with the Ride to Work scheme and availability of bikes . Josh and his team sorted it out for me . I managed to get a suitable bike mail order through Evans and they then advised on and made some adjustments to the bike. They are really focused on customer service. Thank you!
