I have used europcar since June 2017 and am on a long term lease. Up until Charlie left before Christmas i really enjoyed using this branch as he bent over backwards to help and went above and beyond to help. Sad to see him leave. Since then, I have had terrible experiences with most of the staff in the office, been rude and not helpful. Have also filed complaints but never heard back. After asking for someone to get in touch, no one does so I spend most my time chasing the staff to get a response from them as they never return calls or emails. The service has gone down hill dramatically, would really like to speak to some one in a higher position than the station manager at york as also have had a bad experience with this lady also. After spending £500-£600 per month since June 17, you would think you would be classed as a valued customer. Sadly though, the staff in this office don’t think so. Hope this helps others make a decision before choosing this company to hire/lease from.
I would be grateful to speak to maybe one of the owners of the company so I could share my thoughts with them, but as I say, no one ever gets back to you!!

I have hired two vans from this depot, both excellent vehicles and did the job they were needed for. 

However, on the last rental l received a 1hr service fee of £19.99 after l had returned the van with no identification or reason. 
I have emailed them twice but received no reply. I found that somewhat disappointing and see this as a hidden charge. I can only assume this was for cleaning the vehicle but there was nothing on the rental form stating it had to be cleaned and when l collected the vehicle, the chap ologised as it not been cleaned as they don't go overboard with them being vans!.

A good car, but a strange and lengthy system for collecting the car. All in all we had to wait for about 30 minutes for the car to be brought out to us once the paperwork was done . Then, on returning the car, the woman in the front office spoke to me in an arrogant and discourteous manner when I asked if the garage was open for dropping off the car. We will be going back to Hertz next time.

OK, staff should get to work on time. Annoying when you are in a rush & a train to catch.
