Hired a van, did all documents online but still had a long wait. Van hired wasn't ready. Oh and thus is a big one for me, now don't allow dogs evan in vans. Should be made aware when booking. Prices are good though and cheaper than independent.
Good service overall. There was a little delay collecting the car as I semeed to turn up the same time as a few other customers, but this was handled well and the staff were very apologetic. I recieved a surprise upgrade which was very welcomed and the car arrived fully cleaned and well turned out. The very nice staff member showed me around the controls which was reasssuring as I'd never driven this type of car before. Return of the vehicle was easy despite it being a saturday. The very charming staff member made it an easy process and made me feel valued as a customer. Goosd service all around.
Really excellent experience. Staff and vehicle were first class. Recommend giving them serious consideration if you need to hire a car quickly and without complications.
Quick and easy and very reasonable low mileage limit of 500 miles could be increased to 500miles per 24 hours of rental. Other than that 10 out of 10 recommend!
Absolutely shocking I'm still waiting for head office to reply so I had a hired car from here and seriously the car was stinking inside and out shortly after a week of having it the engine management light came on so I called the AA breakdown service the DPF was blocked then he told me the breaks pads were very low and needed to be changed ASAP so I phoned europcar thay told me to take the car to halfords were thay could do the work it took halfords almost 4 hours to change the break pads and disks due to europcar not giving halfords authorisation to carry out the work then they discovered there was very low adblue in the car so that had to be filled up I'm a family disabled man with 5 children and my children have been in that car I've uploaded some pictures for you guys to see I'm sorry but I shouldn't be taking the car for repairs as it's not my responsibility its yours you as a company should be taking pride and also giving your cars a safety check and the once over by the AA or a qualified macanic befor releasing and vehicles
Van itself was fantastic, clean and overall great. Staff member on the desk was a jobs worth and quite abrupt. No need for the bad attitude. They also take your insurance amount out of bank, and return it 10 days later. This was not my understanding as online during booking it was stated they needed your card details incase of accident and needing to take the insurance amount.
The van, the booking, the return were all smooth. However, the invoice showed a fuel charge for 6 litres. I had already put 6 litres in and returned van with needle slightly higher than on pick up, just over top mark. Nothing highlighted by the staff on return either. The invoice shows I did 43 miles only!! I clearly picked the van up not full to the brim. I have been cheated out of £10+ and leaves a bitter taste in the mouth. Will I book with Europcar again??? Jury is out, let's see how this is resolved. ** update - they refunded after complaint. **
Said to pay online for van , but had no vans to rent , glad to take your money though !!! Asked the lady , well what if I had gone through with payment ? She replied you would have been disappointed when you come to pick it up !!! Great staff SWANSEA.
Hired a car from Swansea llansamlet. Through carjet pick up through europcar. All good until return on pickup told all payed in advance with carjet , drop off good then next day invoiced for licences and tax for 15 days not the 21 i had it for. But it was payed in full to carjet. Called customer services and to that is how it is , asked why 15 not 21 and also why I was told and under the impression that it was all payed in advance no answer he hung up on me. I have call my credit card company to stop this transaction. Rental number 155934172 If you would like to discuss this further do it here in public, not behind closed doors. As I have spoken to supposed customer services and he decided to hang up due to not being able enough to answer basic questions. Update They have refunded the fee's, But the process has left me with a bitter taste.
Highly recommend it! I’ve got bigger car than I requested which was nice surprise, friendly and polite staff. I wanted extended car for half day and when I contacted Europcar they said there’s no extra charge for that which was another surprise. When I was giving back the car the fuel wasn’t full so I asked one of the lady to charge me for it but she said if I have time I can still go and get fuel what again surprised me because most of the companies will charge without a word. The only thing which could be improved is deposit as I was booking online and there was no information about it so when I came to pick up the car I had to pay the deposit. However deposit was paid back quickly after checking the car.
