Booked a van and paid online - the rental and associated charges were explained well. The vehicle supplied was clean and comfortable and great to drive. The staff that dealt with me were helpful at pick up and return and I would definitely use this branch again Preston.
DO NOT USE - Booked and paid for a van rental only to be told that they do not have any vans available after receiving emails and confirmation of the hire. When contacted they could not offer any help or a faster refund and told that the money will take 3-5 business days to be refunded with nothing further they can do. Went to Enterprise who were only £1.12 more per day and they sorted everything out, even received a courtesy call, text and email confirming my booking from a pleasant upbeat member of staff. Moral of the story, don't even try and use Europcar, there is a reason they have close to 4,000 1 star reviews on TrustPilot and terrible reviews here on Google. PLEASE AVOID.
I was pay for one van online , every think was fine , till a get a email back with 1 h before to pick the van how the tranzaction was cancellat and all my money will be refunded în 14 days . I was call then to ask what wrong , and they say " The van its not free " and to wait for my money back. After them fauld because they dont keep the update on website what its free and what not I have to wait also around 14 days to refund my money .
Always great service. Very friendly and helpful each visit. I've been upgraded on a couple of occasions which is a nice gesture.
A great customer service and friendly customer service. I was informed of everything. However, the price was an issue, especially for someone on budget.
Speak to Chance. He's the man. Unable to meet my original booking due to technical issues with the car, replaced with a better vehicle which I decided to keep for 38 days live in Oman so bigger is better !! Chance was polite, courteous and knowledgeable. Credit to Europcar. See you next time.

Unfortunately I feel the need to warn people about the service europcar gave us. A colleague of mine with his wife and children who live in Saudi Arabia had a booked a car approximately ten days prior to the date he was due to pick it up, with the view to returning the car in London once their business/tourist trip was over. The cost of this was circa £1150 for a 'vw passat estate size car'. Initially we agreed to pick up the car at 2pm, but for no reason the pick up time was changed to midday. We arrived at 2:30pm to find they had allegedly given the car to someone else. We were told they were unable to call us they have an international number and allegedly they don't call them... Surprising given they are a car rental company that try to appeal to an international market and didn't bother emailing. Surprisingly, there was numerous VW passat estates that were all 71 or 21 plates I. E. New cars on the driveway, but we were told these were either broken or needed service. It did surprise me how one year old German cars regularly broke down and surprisingly all needed service on the exact same day, but hey ho, I'm a doctor not a mechanic. We were then left with no car at all. When I asked about looking for another car in another branch, or the potential of getting one in the next few days, they said they had absolutely nothing at all anywhere... A classic computer says no response. We left with my colleagues family holiday / business trip in jeopardy. Thankfully, due to the professionalism and willingness of their competitors 'enterprise' we managed to get everything sorted. If you have a trip with a family or have any serious business to do and need a car with reliable customer service do not rent it from this branch.
Went in for a pre booked vehicle at the Preston branch where I was greeted by a gentleman called Chance. Plenty of choice in vehicles as there were alsorts of sizes. My vehicle was nicely cleaned. He seemed to know all my requirements and offered some extra additions to help with my rental period. Chance was very helpful and showed great understanding of what was required by myself. I did ask some questions as I wasn't sure about some of the things in writing and he took the time to explain it all at my pace. Note to management Chance is an asset to your company. Just make your phone lines are available to contact at branch and you will have a very efficient running branch especially with people like Chance and his great work.
I would not recommend this company at all. I was given a courtesy car from this company through rac brake down cover. I returned the car in the same manner of a full tank of fuel. I Just dont understand why my deposit hasn't been paid back and why additional money has been taken. They have now taken money out of my bank account without permission and when I try to contact them no one seems to answer the phone.
