Appallingq. Fully paid for and confirmed vehicle and cancelled by them without calling me. It left my 80 year old father and completely stranded. No way to resolve it after 6pm.

If you like free downgrades rent here! Europcar is the only car hire firm I have used that gave me a free *downgrade* (without telling me of course). At the time I queried whether the car had been given was in the class I had requested (and already paid for) and was told a load of cobblers about it being a high spec version of that model, which took it into the higher class. Only upon inspection of the bill when it arrived could I prove that I had been correct in my original assertion. I eventually received a refund of the extra I'd paid, along with the most rudimentary of apologies. I might have expected some show of good will (ie "let us show you we're not always this useless/deceitful/incompetent: here's £20 off your next rental"), but none was offered. I should've been suspicious from the moment the receptionist there appeared to be ambivalent (at best) that they didn't have enough cars in stock to meet all the orders for the day... As poor an experience I have had with a car hire firm (and a national one at that). Never again. Update: Europcar have now (to their credit) refunded a further £20 as a goodwill gesture (albeit after a reminder from me).

Great cars, cleaned and as advertised. Just a bit busy sometimes when you pick up the car and few times received different & contradictory infos regarding their policies, but suppose this was due to the early time of pick up. Other than that, great service provided!

Hire car has developed a fault. Can't get a breakdown number from anywhere. support line useless, tells me to call the accident line, this says call the number on the windscreen....but there is no number on it.

Booked a van online and upon arriving at reception I was told that no vehicles were available. This is despite having confirmation that my vehicle had been booked. No alternatives were offered. I was not contacted beforehand regarding the lack of availability. Staff were rude and refused to provide me with their name to follow up my complaint. Waste of a day and appalling service. Stay away. Don't put your vehicle hire at risk by using this company.
