My two cats have just enjoyed a stay with their Auntie Katrina and Uncle Tony. I was quite worried about one in particular, as when she has previously stayed at another cattery, she had a tendency to go on hunger strike and would return home very distressed for several days afterwards. This was very worrying. However, Auntie Katrina and Uncle Tony obviously took the time to settle her in well as she did not go on hunger strike, and was only very mildly distressed when she returned home. The cattery itself is very nice and clean. The units have plenty of space which are practical for humans in that we can walk into them, so they are not like 'cages' on top of each other. The units are great for cats with multi-levels for them to enjoy, and they can see outside too. Beds and scratching posts are provided and not all catteries provide these things, ramps are also available for cats that are less mobile and have difficulty jumping up/down from the shelf. My cats have very specific needs and medication requirements, so this makes me a very worried pet owner and quite nervous about leaving my cats in someone else's care. However, Katrina and Tony are very understanding and do actually take the time to make sure that they understand the specific needs of each cat. There was nothing that I requested that they did not agree to or could not manage. Katrina and Tony also took the time to keep in regular contact by email and sent me photo's of both cats, this was nice and reassured me that everything was okay. I highly recommend Etonbury Cattery, and the service and facilities are far superior to what we have experienced at any other cattery. The prices are very reasonable too.
