IGNORANT, DEAF TO COMPLAINTS, SELF INDULGENT. IGNORANT OF LOCAL NEEDS, AND THEIR KNOWLEDGE OF LOCAL UTILITIES IS AMAZING!!. MY STREET LAMPS (STANDARD TYPE) HAVE BEEN BROKEN FOR OVER TWO YEARS, WITH A STATEMENT TO SAY THAT THE LAMPS IN QUESTION DO NOT EXIST ON THEI R LIGHTING PLANS. UHHHH??? BELIEVE ME ITS ARROGANCE!!!!!

Essex County Council must be one of the worst Councils in the Country. I don't think that anyone cares about the Community they are there to serve. All they care about is their own interest. They pay themselves exceptionally well, the highest in the Country, and are utterly ineffective. The leader of the Council claims thousands of pounds in expenses every month and so do other Councillors. There are no services to speak of and in classic Conservative style the less well off are squeezed to protect Concervative voters. Essex County Council is a parasitic administration.

Awful - They just want to steal as much money from residents as they can. Chelmsford City and Essex are a mess - overcrowded, gridlocked roads, extortionate parking costs - probably the worst place I have ever lived.
