Nice escape room. However it is hard to find, Google maps directions are wrong, doesn't send you down George Yard or whatever that road is, and you can't see it unless you do, or you go all the way around. Lots of stairs and you have no cell service in the basement. The free photo booth was a nice touch, but it could have had better props, or better more obvious timing as to when it actually takes it. Tells you not to print more than one person group but you can't get more digital photos without printing more at the same time
I went here to do my first escape room in London I've only done two or three before with just my boyfriend. We did The Scheming Chemist. If it's your first time doing an escape room, don't go for this one. Also would recommend a bigger group than just two people. It was very difficult and we didn't finish it, so you don't end up satisfied. My biggest criticism for this place is that they have several rooms that's not the problem, the place is quite nice where it is, but the rooms are not sound proof! That means that whilst we were trying to concentrate in solving puzzles, reading, listening to recordings, the people next door were shouting and screaming and we could hear it so loud that we could not concentrate. I think that is a big mistake for an escape room. It was not a very expensive one to do, so I would recommend to try the experience.
So first time doing an escape room and it was really good. Obviously it's down to your group that you go with, I was part of a group of 4 and we didn't manage to escape so if you do plan too get out the more numbers you got, the better the odds. Plus people can divvy up an help solve puzzles and problems better suited to individual strengths. Some times there are multiple problems to handle whilst the cl9ck is ticking down. Anyway staff were friendly, can get tips from them but at a cost time not money and at the end you can take some pictures my only negative thing is can be a tad tricky to find.
Thanks for hosting our Team Day - you were the best , the hostess with the mostest!! David did a great job organizing our large team as i had a IT issues so thanks for that!...the rest of your colleagues were also really friendly and helpful to all of us...we had a laugh...really challenging but a great way to bond as a team
Good fun, made the right choice to have 12 people in one challenge. The challenge wasnt too hard or too easy. There was one difficulty spike with tenuous clue structure but fairly straightforward applying lateral thinking, inquisitiveness and pattern recognition. Would go again with other teams.
Our team recently tackled this escape room, and it was a blast! The puzzles were really well-designed – logical and challenging, but not impossible. We had to work together the whole time, which made it a fantastic team-building exercise. The staff was also awesome, offering helpful nudges when we got stuck without giving anything away. The atmosphere was immersive, but to push it even further, incorporating some modern elements like touch-screen puzzles or hidden compartments hidden throughout the room would be incredible.
Nice Escape rooms. Can accomodate parties of up to 6 and up to 11. Variety of themes, we did 2. Interesting puzles. Very Well organised. Very friently and helpfull staff continously on the lookout even when the rooms are ocupied. Good fan with friends and coworkers. Large wating room. Good game instructions. Not far from tube. A bit hidden away entrance.
No storyline. The backstory was given in one sentence with no heart or passion, and it was presented at the same time as another group was being briefed for a different escape room. The TV which held important clues wasn't working and one mechanism was already open/solved. There was no coherent narrative and the lack of story really detracted from the experience. The mechanisms were confusing, and not in a fun or challenging way. Additionally, the photobooth, which was advertised, was not available. One employee was super nice and helped us, apologizing for the inconvenience and offering solutions to make up for the things gone wrong. She even offered to take pictures of us as an alternative to the photobooth. While we did enjoy spending time with friends, it was not because of the escape room. Chemist escape room
Brilliant experience here, we did the Scheming Chemist room and it was the perfect level of challenging and a really fun story. The staff were also brilliant and were very accommodating. Want to come back and do another room!
Most fun I've had in a LONG TIME. The rooms we had was challenging but had so much fun doing it. Really got my brain ticking, and thinking outside of the box. The Team were more than lovely and friendly. We we got stuck they were more than happy to help us. 10/10 would recommend!
