Condition of pool is good.nTiling is fresh and clean, no old rusty stains like in pools of busy areas.nnDespite all of above, there’s huge room for improvement.nnAlthough swimming pool is relatively new and clean, it seems like staff doesn’t want to take good care of facilities. Availability of overshoes varies from day to day, probably depends on whom shift it is, or mood of responsible person. To be fair there are no overshoes available most part of the week. Anyway, it’s not a big deal, as I can bring my own overshoes. But what’s the point of overshoes dispenser then? What’s the point filling it with overshoes just one day if people cannot rely on it because next day there won’t be any. Very strange.nnAs I mentioned earlier, it’s not a big deal and I was patiently bearing with it.nBut things getting more and more funny.nSoap in male wc in changing room was not filled regularly, and every time I was not sure whether I should expect any soap or not.nBut now, THERE IS just NO SOAP DISPENSER. It’s been 2 WEEKS already. Still no signs anyone going to put soap dispenser back on place.nIt’s mad. I’m talking about basic stuff.nnThere are no hangers in some of lockers. Someone broken them and there are no signs of will to fix that.nnOn top of that, managing level of pool is very poor. There are 6 lanes, and only one of them is given to fast swimmers. And people sometimes take a piss even with the only fast lane we got. Due to their discourtesy they swim too slow on this lane and they see that other swimmers keep reaching them and they’re being on the way. They keep swimming slow on the fast lane where there is clear big board saying “FAST LANE”nNo reaction from staff. Lifeguard keeps watching like nothing happening. Okay, lifeguard must stay on chair, but he/she could at least call someone else on radio, to sort this out. No, just IGNORING. They don’t care even when some people swim slow breaststroke. Swimmers are not able to keep normal cycle of lane this way, they just keep bumping into this strange person. Even in these obvious circumstances it’s not just one time no reaction from staff. No reaction until someone from fast swimmers gets pissed completely and try to get someone from staff to do something. Every time someone needs to get through this stress. We cannot kick that slow person off the lane, as we are same users of pool as that person. Reporting that every time feels bad. End of the day, we come here for swim, not for arguing with people or stressing how to be more appropriate and report that gently. It’s not our job. Our mind should be busy sorting out the technique, not managing the pool. I’m not a pool watcher.nnPool itself is lovely and clean.nnThanks.
Lack of consistency with instructors. You never are told when a swimming instructor is not around for long period times. You complain to staff but they are useless. They either tell you they will pass on the message but you never get a response. They keep children on stages for a very long time. Hardly update the swim portal as promised when you initially sign up. Make you feel like if you don't like the result then leave. Very poor customer service and training for staff to handle customers.
The changing room is ridiculously dirty and has strong urine smell. My 2 yo climed on the floor while i was helping to change to my older one. My baby had massive urine smell after that. All over her clothes, her hair, everywhere. I was extremely distressed. Honestly, this is disgusting!!!
I was at Crayford Bowls club, adjacent to the Erith Leisure centre car park, so I don't know what its like, but the outside seems to promise good things within.
Changing area smells and not so clean. Service at the front desk takes long. However, the staff are amazing , friendly, and especially my swimming instructor Grace
