It was a delightful experience to spend a day riding on the steam train. It offered a unique opportunity to travel back in time and experience train travel as it was in the past. The nostalgic sounds of the steam engine, the pleasant aroma of the coal fire, and the charming tooting of the train all contributed to an immersive and unforgettable journey.
What a fabulous idea! All staffed by volunteers! We joined the Epping Fryer & had fish n chips & an old-fashioned tub of vanilla ice cream. A perfect afternoon outing. : We'll be back for afternoon tea next month.
The recent Beer Festival was great fun whatever your age and gender. Plenty of variety of beverages on offer. Something for everyone. Well done to all the staff and volunteers for organising and executing such a well attended and highly popular event. Only snag for me personally was the toilets being out of action on the trains, otherwise five stars would have been given. I look forward to the day once a through connection is established at Epping.
It's lovely, very period and the staff and volunteers are great. Second time visiting here. Did the fish and chip lunch on the train with friends and they were all very happy.
We came here for Paw Patrol day. A nicely preserved station with a small picnic area. Nice history board of a crash, and a picture museum on the waiting room. Small cafe too. I liked to old dracula castle train! 3 year old enjoyed the animal picture trail.nnThe paw patrol day was a bit like being herded. Families had to wait 20 mins for a picture on the platform then go into a marquee for a magic show. This would have been better done in the garden and having characters walking around. Face paintinf and balloon making ... the paw patrol balloon models were £12 each!
