Epping Station is the last stop on the central line there are two platforms here and two entrances and exits at this station. The main entrance of the station is small and has ticket barriers on the other side of the station Hillcrest Way entrance there is no ticket barriers. The station was clean and tidy and staff around to help. The station car park and bus stop is right outside the station.
As far as Underground stations go it can be quaint and pretty but also old and ill equipped. Toilets are tired and a bit rough. The ticket office is tiny. To the average traveller using contactless these are not concerns. On a related note, the junction leading up to the station is very busy and feels quite often gladiatorial in the attitude fellow drivers exhibit.
Huge parking space; perfect for getting into town. Now be advised that the central line has the oldest trains ever. It's like getting into a live museum.
Epping station all ground level. Toilets need updating, only one cubicle in ladies.nUsually clean but could do with some cosmic soda down them!nGenerally good selection of high street shops limited parking in high street. Cottis lane provides a good car park with loos.nJust off high street is Copped hall to visit and have tea at.nAnd of course, Epping forest surrounds the area for nice walkies for families and pooches alike.
Parking in Epping train station parking machine not working had to phone and give details would not accept cards on both machine friend tried as well
