Such helpful staff. My car broke down on way to Skye for a week. I had to leave it to be fixed at a lovely local garage, ATS. I booked last minute with Enterprise and managed to secure a brand new mercedes estate, with a huge boot for all our luggage. The Team here were so friendly and personable and nothing was too much trouble for them. The car was spotless inside and out and drove like a dream. Thank you Enterprise Glasgow for saving our holiday and ATS . The Kesslers .
Rented a car on this year March for my road trip. After i returned the car on Edinburgh , the agent keep harassing me using the pre existing damage from last driver. I have provided pictures of the car taken on Glasgow and even a video which I took in their Glasgow office and asking them to provide me official documents of pre existing damage to prove the accused damage was done by me. There was no reply for 2 months until another agent is sending me another email for asking 2000 pounds for the compensation. This is so psychological draining for their customer service ! They are totally rude , ignorance and careless about their customer and monetary profit driven. Do you charge every single customer for the pre existing damage so you can be profitable ? Seriously if you cannot even recognise your staff and office in the picture I provided to you and cannot even check the time stamp of the picture, I seriously doubt your company integrity. Also if this small Dent on the car front is the cause for unbalancing of the car, it means you are renting me a substandard product from the start ! You should be shame for your deed
Had a wonderful experience. I am a petrol head and explorer. Enterprise gave me a beautiful looking car which was perfect for the drive within the Scottish highlands. The vehicle was apt for my family trip. Really looking forward to hire again. Thanks to @james and @ellie.
We arrived on time to get our car. We spend an hour to give us the car. It supposed that when you rent a car and you have the reservation correct it doesn’t take time. We waste more than an hour waiting for a car. When you are a tourist the time it is the most important thing First time ENTERPRISE, last one.
**Disappointing Experience** I recently booked a car with Enterprise, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Despite booking a month in advance and arriving promptly at 10:55 AM for my 11:00 AM pickup time, I ended up waiting in line for an hour. I was finally called to collect my car at 12 PM, significantly delaying our plans for the day. It was incredibly frustrating to have arrived on time yet still be kept waiting for so long. When I initially booked online, the quoted price, including the Collision Damage Waiver/Excess Protection, was around £170. However, upon arrival, I was asked to pay £250. I showed the staff my original booking price, and they asked me to come back to the desk to check the discrepancy. This confusion over pricing was a major inconvenience and completely avoidable with proper communication. Another issue arose when I was asked to provide a credit card under my name. While I understand the need for security, the rental policy stated that debit cards were accepted for the vehicle class I booked—a Compact SUV. According to the policy: “All major debit and credit cards, issued by either Visa, Mastercard, or American Express, are accepted. For all Cars and SUVs of the categories Mini, Economy, Compact, Intermediate, Standard, Small People Carriers, and Vans, a deposit of 200.00 GBP is required. These vehicles may be rented with a debit or credit card.“ Despite this, I was told that without a credit card, they would not rent to me. I even quoted the policy from their email, but I was still denied. The staff member I dealt with was a bit rude, adding to the frustration. We were asked to leave, and the car was promptly handed over to another customer, leaving us stranded. Ultimately, we rented a vehicle from Avis, and I highly recommend them. The customer service at Avis was excellent, and the entire process was smooth and hassle-free. This was my first and, unfortunately, last experience with Enterprise. I do not recommend using their services due to their poor customer service, unclear policies, and disregard for customer satisfaction. Save yourself the trouble and book elsewhere.
We arranged for a car rental at 0800 but arrived later and yet the car was not ready. We were told to come back after another hour, which we did and then had to wait an additional 20-30 mins while the car was cleaned. The car should be ready at your start time regardless of when you arrive as that is when you are paying for it to begin! Maneuvering out of the parking garage was a nightmare and added even more time to our already delayed start. There was hardly any room and there were so many cars moving about it was like a game of tetris to squeeze out. It added at least another 10 mins of delays waiting for others to also try to get out safely. The “cleaning” was absolutely rushed and terribly done. For the first couple hours of our trip we kept getting horrible whiffs of something. Upon further investigation we found feces of some sort smeared into the drivers side mat and side of the interior car and even a bit in the cup holder. You could only see it once the mat was removed and looked at in a bright area. The stench was awful. We checked our shoes and it certainly was not from us. We had to buy cleaning supplies to rectify the situation as we were already too far gone to go back and ruin more our of day.
Easy and quick. Had a last minute change of plans and needed to drop my car off at this branch unexpectedly. Micheal was super helpful, whilst it does seemingly get quite busy there, where they have the time/capacity, the staff are happy to go the extra step where they can.
Avoid Enterprise – Scam Alert! I strongly advise against renting from Enterprise – it’s a complete scam. Upon returning my rental car, I was shockingly charged £1,500 for supposed “invisible” tire damage. The initial inspection was cursory, with staff barely glancing at the tires in a dimly lit garage and offering no recommendation for a thorough check. However, upon returning the car, a different staff member meticulously examined the tires and miraculously found a small slit that was invisible without manipulation. This stark contrast between inspections makes it impossible to determine if the damage was pre-existing. We encountered no issues during our rental period, so this charge came completely out of the blue. Enterprise not only kept my £200 deposit but also charged me a total of £1,700 for a tire on a Fiat 500 – an outrageous amount for such damage. This predatory pricing is exactly what consumers fear when renting a car. Adding insult to injury, their customer service demonstrated zero empathy and dismissed my valid concerns outright. To avoid falling victim to this dodgy and recurrent practice, I urge you to thoroughly inspect the tires yourself or prepare to pay their exorbitant additional coverage fees. Based on numerous similar reviews, this appears to be a common tactic. Save yourself the hassle and choose a more reputable rental company.
I ordered 2 weeks ahead and couldn’t pick up my vehicle on time. I have to wait 4 hours before getting access to vehicle. THIS RUINS MY ITINERARY and they pretend that they have communicated to you beforehand. So I guess customers are not really important to them, customers’ time is simply no value to this team. Shameful and shameless
DO NOT GO HERE My husband and I were in Glasgow as part of our honeymoon. We only had two days there and so we really wanted to make the most of our time, so on the day we arrived we decided to be proactive and went to this particular enterprise location to lineup a car for us to pick up the next day. An employee there named Colin "helped" us to ensure we would get an automatic car and that it would be available at 12:30pm the next day. We wanted to pick it up earlier but he told us the morning would be really busy, but that if we came at 12:30 it'd be no problem. Well turns out it was a big problem. We arrived at 12:30 on the dot the next day, very keen to get started on our day trip, and the staff there said a car would not be available until 5pm at the earliest. We explained we came the day before to reserve a vehicle for this time slot, and the girl helping us seemed confused and told us that there was nothing in their system for this time, and again said it would be no sooner than 5. Another woman, the manager, said she would take a look for us but no luck. They didn't even have a manual car for us to take we wanted an automatic however my husband knows how to drive standard so we said we'd take that if need be. While waiting here for close 45 minutes, my husband had the smart idea to check for enterprise locations nearby. He asked the staff if they could call another location and see what THEY had available. They did this and confirmed a location about 20 minutes away had a manual that we could take. This was a glimmer of hope, but we were also surprised and annoyed that none of the original staff came up with that idea and instead my husband had to think of this. Also, the staff here overall had the attitude towards us that we were being a bother to them. It was busy, yes, but that's why we went the day before so this wouldn't happen! None of them seemed concerned about helping us, and were giving us signs and looks that suggested we should just shove off, despite it being them that caused the issue. We took a taxi to the other location in Springburn and picked up our car there. Again, not an automatic as we had originally requested but at that point we were so fed up with being delayed in our day that we agreed. The only positive I could say about this experience is to point to an employee named Josh at their Edinburgh Waverly Station location, where we dropped the car off. Josh was efficient, seemed to really listen to our complaints we didn't just rant to him but our ordeal came up in the conversation, and said he'd be able to give us some compensation for our troubles. I really don't think we'd ever use enterprise again after this, but Josh at Waverly seems like a great employee. If you happen to have no other choice but to use enterprise, go see Josh.
