Went on a society day and have no complaints at all. Course was excellent, green's were superb. Food and service after golf was top class a very enjoyable day.

Nice course. Good, inviting fairways from the tee box. Some long par 4s and a 210 yrd par 3.n16th drives over the 4th green, so it can cause a little bit of a wait. 6th has a ditch right on driver distance running across fairway be careful. 9th hole par 3 very tough, good-looking hole. Overall, it was very nice, not too hilly course.nProshop and clubhouse are very good.

Can't fault this place. Friendly staff in the pro shop and the club house. Course is a good challenge and the green keepers must be the hardest working in the North West. I have never played a round here and not seen them working on the course. Greens are some of the best I have ever played! Keep up the great work!

Played on saturday as a visitor, it was championship weekend, the course was set up immaculate from tee too green, very very challenging pin positions and fast greens, i have played many courses both in england  and some in scotland, i have played in melbourne australia,ellesmere is on par with the NATIONAL in melbourne thats how good i rate it, by far the best we have played in england,thank you john garry bradshaw, ashton in makerfield, we will be back

Especially considering the recent atrocious weather, the course is in wonderful condition, especially the greens.nThanks and appreciation to Rob and ALL the greens staff for all their dedication and hard work.
