A really nice store spread over 4 floors. Has a good sized restaurant on the top floor, served by lifts and a mixture of stairs and escalators. You might be waiting a long time for lifts especially at busy times. Customer toilets are also available. The store has the usual IKEA products, will take you longer than expected unless you know your way around. The car park has easy access to the store in each level. There is EV charging on the ground level served by Grid Serve. 3 hours free parking for customers buying up to £30 in store otherwise there is a £2.50 charge, more if you stay longer. Access and exit to the car park is very tight in places so be careful. Tall vehicles can park on the ground level.
Literally in love with this place. You can find everything for the home at affordable prices. It's best if you sign up for the family membership so you can get discount. I also love the IKEA Caffe. The food here is soooo good, no wonder there is always a long queue, but it's definitely worth it. My favourite is the cheese cake and sponge cake with a cup of coffee. Perfect to recharge before continuing with shopping. You also get 3 hours of free parking if you spend £30+.
Such versatile stuff. Love going but do find it difficult to locate what I've seen I the market area. The main warehouse is easy. Had a return and it was sorted out quickly and without fuss.
I know that IKEA is a bit like Marmite. Well I love it! Always look forward to my visit. Southampton is my local / nearest branch. Parking and access is always easy and most things in stock. Store is always clean and tidy and staff are friendly. Nice views from the restaurant and car park. Always good value for money!
Amazing Ideas for Intelligent House Settings..Must checkout for getting your homes setup like this way..
IKEA is best furniture and household stores I have visited. It has all the appliances and even a ready-made house to make a best fit on the empty space. Don't forget to use your IKEA FAMILY CARD to get amazing DISCOUNTS, scan them while using at the check out points or at the counter. I went to buy a pan that was really cheaper and high quality compared to other firms or stores. It had multiple products that can blow your mind at affordable prices and it also had a multiple restaurant in it. One of those was Swedish restaurant at 4th floor which was really amazing to have a meal and good atmosphere with quite and relaxing feeling. Choosing furniture that is suitable for children, but in neutral tones, will match the décor of any room. Having a subtle toy storage solution in the main family rooms is a good idea, to keep the transient toys organised.
Best place to get durable and space saving furniture. Look out for the Christmas and New Year sales when there is always huge and genuine discount on some of the to-be-discontinued products. The assembly of the flat furniture is a critical and happy stage of life, specially for young families starting up their new home from scratch. The satisfaction of being able to turn 2d packs into 3d furniture is very filling!!
Enjoyed lunch there. Very busy restaurant but through checkout quickly. Efficient and tasty, although very little choice of main course. Store well furnished with ideas. Difficult to leave without purchasing something you may or may not need.
I love going to IKEA whether it is for actual purchases or just window shopping for furniture and home decor ideas. You will find home furniture, home office, wardrobes, bathroom and fittings etc on display. The layout works well, mostly, and teases one to keep exploring the different sections. Watch it, I once clocked about 5,000 steps exploring all the sections. Thankfully, there is a Eat out section for food, drinks and coffee. The directional signs are projected on the floor and easy to follow. Pros: 1. Well stocked and lots of options. 2. Reasonably priced items. 3. Good layout. 4. Easy to access and 5 Lots of parking. Free if you spend up to £30 in store, I think. Cons: 1. The layout of the store means a lot of walking is required to get to desired sections. It can get tiring sometimes.
So me and my best friend have this running joke that you should always take a first date to ikea, 1. It takes forever to walk around so gives you chance to chat and get to know each other. 2. If it’s not going well there’s a million places to hide 3. You can see how they would decorate your potential future home. 4. You can have a nice tasty lunch half way through, because meatballs and daim cake are the best! 5. You pay before you eat so no ‘who is going to pay the bill’ worries. 6. If you can survive a trip around ikea with someone then you can survive life with them.
