We came for a days visit with family. It was Easter time and the visit was wonderful for all the right reasons. The fellow on the pennyfarthing was a real character. The fact you can walk inside the castle and the rooms is a breath of fresh air! .. 5☆ all round ♡♡♡

Went for the Chilli Festival. Great time, the weather certainly helped! £10 entry, book online for a small saving. The entry fee did seem steep given the price of everything inside the festival. Great food choices (Funky Falafel was my favourite!) but expect to pay around £10 for lunch at the festival. The castle was stunning. Be sure to take a walk around the lake for some more brilliant views. Worth a visit if you're nearby, especially if there is an event on!

Large castle full of furnishing and decorative pieces. We completed the Easter trail which was fun with my little one and well planned. The playground is fantastic and the walk around the lake, whilst muddy and boggy, was beautiful.

Great place to visit with the whole family. The castle is beautiful and is open to view. The gardens are spectacular.

Visited for the annual chilli festival. Great exhibitors and food vendors. Lots to do and see for all the family.
