What a fabulous family run campsite. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. We were welcomed in to their annual awards presentation which real good fun with genuinely nice people. The prices are very reasonable. Clean and well kept facilities. Highly recommended. We stayed for the Busfest weekend in September.
My mom and Dad have a caravan on here and we all love visiting. Always very clean, quiet, friendly. Rain or shine it's a lovely place to. Spent bank holiday weekend here and looking forward to the next time
My wife and I have stayed here for over two years now and enjoy everything the site has too offer. Having read the last review, and having been next to the pitch in question nearly all of the account is not accurate. SO PLEASE IGNORE. The site is extremely clean and welcoming with excellent fishing on both ponds. Owners are accommodating and approachable.
What a disappointment. Site owner Keith showed us to pitches and watched us site our vans, waited 3 hours and then came and told us we were " blocking the light" from neighbouring pitch. Then a different issue: your vans are facing the wrong way. It's illegal. Then WHY NOT SAY THAT when we arrived? Trying to get 2 year old to sleep.Site owner was rude, called me " one of those who doesn't like to be told" " inconsiderate' and " evil". Had paid up front and would have been happy to pay for night we stayed but they retained over £100. They also refused to give back the " returnable" deposit for shower keys and for unused shower tokens. Won't stay here again. Avoid. And contrary to next review this is an ENTIRELY accurate account of what occurred.
Been coming to this site 20 years camping first now caravan. Fabulous site facilities second to none. Well run by lovely family 3 generations. Now our children and grandchildren come too. Keep up good work
This is a lovely caravan site, with fishing lakes and good toilet/shower block. Charges are exceptionally good value. . Most pitches are seasonal and, although dogs are welcome, there is no dog walking facility on site or nearby. This is a great shame if you have an energetic dog and forced a 4 star and not a 5 star rating from us this time.
Don't let the comments of too many signs and rules put you off. We had a great time at this site, everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The fishing was great. The only thing I'd comment on as a dog owner is there are really limited opportunities for dog walking / exercising direct from the site. It's along a grass verge on a fast road. Every field has livestock sheep and cattle and the Stiles are stock fenced so you'd have to be lifting the dog over. There are fabulous options a very short drive away though. We'll definitely be back soon !
On this site at the moment it is a lovely site great owners very friendly. As for the bad review from Helen we'll what can I say Rude . Doesn, t. Like to follow Rules . Was Waiting for an Argument with her snide remarks , but I didn, t take the Bait. Oh and swore at the owners wife fs jfs. Sorry that is not on.
Lovely quiet site, been here for 16 years seasonal. Came here about 25 years ago and never looked for anywhere else. Owners Jill and Keith do an excellent job .
Lovely site loads of room, facilities very clean and well laid out. Very good price and although we paid for showers extra it's still excellent value. Lovely friendly hosts. Would return.
