Southampton's city centre parks are still one of the place's best features. Spring flowers just starting to appear. Lovely.

The park is gorgeous all year round and clearly has a lot of work put into it! Look out for the mosaic - I've lived in Southampton 20 years and hadn't noticed it until someone showed me recently. Lovely place to chill out during a lunch break or trip into town.

Nice well kept park near the centre of town. Avoid walking through after dark, but nice for a daytime stroll. The wisteria walk is a particular highlight when in bloom.

The only unhappy time i had in the Channel Islands when i was there on holiday was when asked where i lived and told her i lived in Southampton.The girl had been a student here.One of her friends had been raped.Great to visit during the day,and the city is generally safe,but as anywhere you go,avoid dark unlit corners where rats can lurk unseen.(The two legged human variety.)I visit the park for Rememberance Day every November.All the parks are nice.
