I had a terrible experience with the planning department here, with a simple application taking over 1 year to approve, and multiple emails ignored over a long period of time. Service was not great. Only a month ago, a new planner, Lisa Greenwood was appointed. Within days I had contact by email, and every email sent was replied to within hours. Lisa visited the site soon after. And within 1 month of Lisa having been appointed, my planning application had been processed. I cannot thank Lisa enough, hopefully she continues in her role there, I’d have been writing a 1-star review if it wasn’t for her, so thank you, and 5-stars well-deserved!
I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with East Northants Council has been extremely disappointing. I applied for planning advice back in March and paid a £300 fee, expecting a response by July at the latest. It’s now been months, and I’ve received absolutely no communication from them. I’ve tried every possible way to get in touch: emails, phone calls, and even visiting their office in person, but no one has bothered to reply.nnIt feels like they’ve simply taken my money and disappeared. I am now having to involve the Financial Ombudsman to get my money back. Honestly, if they were a private company, they would have gone out of business long ago because their customer service is just abysmal.nnI strongly advise anyone considering their services to think twice. This level of neglect is unacceptable.
Contacted them over an envoirment health issue the lady gave me a police phone number i think she had no clue what she she was on about
I am holding on to a telephone line for 25 mins so far having watched the garden waste lorry drive straight past my bin yet again ,no point filling in online forms there is never any response, at 84 years of age I can’t take it to the tip myself so another month goes by with rotting vegetation and a soaring blood pressure!!!!!
Absolutely appalling customer service from the council tax revenue department. It has taken me 7 months to get this office to acknowledge that I live at my address and that I don't pay council tax.nI lost count how many emails and telephone calls I had to make for their error to be rectified. I was sent demand notices , I was promised call backs , no one responded to my emails . I eventually managed to speak to a arrogant obnoxious man who basically said we didn't have the staff to deal with the enquiries. He was not willing to accept that the 7 months of receiving demand bills had caused me a lot of stress and upset due to their incompetence. He just continued to talk over me and expected me to say its OK I understand your hard time due to staff shortages . I pointed out to him that staffing should of been put in place to deal with the government schemes for the additional work load .nIt wasn't until I chose to use his tactic and spoke over him , I told him I had recorded every call I made to them and kept every email to use in court or for the press to show their incompetence if any additional charges were added to my bill. I hung up the phone . This was on Friday 7th October, I received a letter on Saturday the 8th telling me that my council tax bill had been rectified and my 1st £150 energy rebate had been sent to my bank account. There was no name on the letter , no apology but I have his name for future reference because I recorded the telephone calls.nCustomer service training needs implementing with this arrogant individual .
