I am so aggrieved to be paying my £3k + per year with the cheek of an additional surcharge for garden waste, for a service which I can only describe as appalling and a department that are incompetent! Having contacted the waste department who had confirmed that my direct debit payment had been received and that a sticker for the bin will be issued ~ I’ve been waiting since Dec ‘23, what am I paying for? Yet again garden bin not collected for the 2nd time….
Didn’t know but apparently to have your bin emptied you have a sticker so twice my bin is filling with grass, so 2 days ago had to go up offices paid for bin by phone should have got receipt but no receipt. Does anybody do their job anymore? Couldn’t give a dam and i hate Northampton we have a lousy council.
Disgusting procedures from the council tax department. Sending me a threatening final payment notice for nearly £1000 claiming I am in arrears. They claim they sent me a letter 2 months ago which I didn’t receive, yet there was zero common sense to send me another letter. I am currently claiming UC and find it hard to believe I owe nearly £1000 for the remaining 8 months. Absolutely disgusting. I will be on the phone first thing on Monday morning. This is a disgusting way to treat people during a cost of living crisis.
Waiting for a food bin for the past 4 months. Rang three times said will send one over however nothing been sent still on the list.. When you ring they say it will be quicker to come up and pick up from the Thrapston office.. when we work full time, how can we do that and their opening hours are very short. We work fulltime , pay the council tax. Council tax is not cheap is it!! and this is not the service to expect.
Absolutely appalling customer service from the council tax revenue department. It has taken me 7 months to get this office to acknowledge that I live at my address and that I don't pay council tax.nI lost count how many emails and telephone calls I had to make for their error to be rectified. I was sent demand notices , I was promised call backs , no one responded to my emails . I eventually managed to speak to a arrogant obnoxious man who basically said we didn't have the staff to deal with the enquiries. He was not willing to accept that the 7 months of receiving demand bills had caused me a lot of stress and upset due to their incompetence. He just continued to talk over me and expected me to say its OK I understand your hard time due to staff shortages . I pointed out to him that staffing should of been put in place to deal with the government schemes for the additional work load .nIt wasn't until I chose to use his tactic and spoke over him , I told him I had recorded every call I made to them and kept every email to use in court or for the press to show their incompetence if any additional charges were added to my bill. I hung up the phone . This was on Friday 7th October, I received a letter on Saturday the 8th telling me that my council tax bill had been rectified and my 1st £150 energy rebate had been sent to my bank account. There was no name on the letter , no apology but I have his name for future reference because I recorded the telephone calls.nCustomer service training needs implementing with this arrogant individual .
