The old boy needs updating with customer service skills admittedly, Personally I think he's old fashioned with a great character - I like him. Some people expect different things. Today a young lady was serving and she was on par
Always had great customer service here. Have received time saving advice from the owner on more than one occasion. Have been using this post office since March 2020 and wouldn't go anywhere else now.
ago 1 star is too much for this place. I have given the Man a handful of chances and he is always so rude. If he's not on the phone or chatting to one of his mates in the queue, he's dismissive and has no manners. Sometimes there is another lady serving and whenever she is serving there is no queue because she serves the customers but the usual bloke is something else, today spoke to me so rudely infront of a lot people over a mistake on Amazon behalf! I won’t be going again!
I have always found the staff at this post office very polite and helpful. I drop off around 80 parcels every 2 months and I receive a call to collect my receipts when the parcels have been processed. Could not receive better service anywhere else.
One star is too many stars for this shambolic Post Office! It's not a Post Office when the queue is outside the door and over 1 hour long. How are you supposed to pick up a parcel via Click & Collect when the queue to pick it up is over 1 hour long?! As for parcels, they try to upsell "Signed For" useless in the middle of a pandemic when Royal Mail do not take signatures or "Special Delivery" horrifically expensive at every opportunity. My advice: for letters, buy your postage online or just buy a book of stamps from wherever you can. For parcels, use MyHermes - they're infinitely better, with almost instant service no 1 hour + queues, and cheaper as well!

The service in this Post Office is absolutely fine! Yes there are long queues from about 4pm weekdays but many other Post Offices in the vicinity are closed due to Covid rules. I for one, will continue to use it. Good luck to them!
Awful. AVOID. so rude. I walked out of there today - for the second time the owner was chatting on the phone and wandering around the shop whilst we queued at the post office counter. Last time he was chatting with his daughter! I asked his wife if she could serve us and she was so rude same as before. Ive seen other reviews about their attitude and I see why. I’ve complained to the post office too. Go to Cherrys Pharmacy in rushden that’s what I had to do today - totally different. Why are the people in higham allowed to run a Post office?!
The owner, to my parcels and dropped them on the floor instead of bending down and putting them on the floor. The parcel was damaged and I had to refund the buyer all due to this guys laziness. Also his attitude is terrible, he looks at you like you're a criminal and doesn't even say good bye or thank you just looks down and stays quiet. I won't be going to the Post Office again, to be honest I think they have become complacent and could do with a rocket. Also lodging a complaint with Royal Mail.
I can't speak highly enough of this business which has stayed open at a time when others, such as Irchester Post Office, couldn't shut their PO section down fast enough. Grangeway Post Office closed down the staff couldn't have been happier! and visiting the last remaining PO in Rushden Cherry's in the High St was an excrutiating experience on par with queuing up in the land of the living dead. Fortunately all the staff took a day off sick and the place shut down so I wound up at Higham Post Office and I've never looked back. When your business relies heavily on posting parcels daily as mine does, the relief of finding a professionally run PO like this one is immeasurable. The service is friendly, efficient and best of all you know the owner won't let you down. I always make a point of spending a few quid in his shop because without this guy I'd go bust and wouldn't have any quids to spend!
