With a large variety of historical airplanes and helicopters on display, both indoors and outdoors. What incredible value for money! A mere £5 granted access to a fascinating collection of retired aircraft. The views of planes taking off from the nearby airport were a fantastic bonus. This attraction offers something for everyone and is well worth a visit. Highly recommended for an enjoyable and affordable day out.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
This is a lovely place to spend the day with your family. They have picnic benches lined up along a mound to view planes taking off and landing from the airport, the staff are lovely, and the gift shop is a very reasonably priced place for snacks and drinks. We stayed for about 4 hours just enjoying the place, and letting the kids run around. Love it, will definitely be back!
A nice way to spend a couple of hours on a warm day. Bring a packed lunch and watch a few planes take off from East Midlands Airport Jet2, Ryan Air. A good display of roughly 20 planes and helicopters. Shop on site selling a few snacks and airplane souvenirs.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Awsome little place lots to see and do right next to the airport to watch planes. Some awsome stuff hear. If I had any complaints they were selling cockpit tickets to one of the bomber planes so brought two tickets and in my mind I thought you'd actually get to go in the cockpit. Rather that the bit below it was more of a weapons tour by a very knowledgeable man . But no fun for the kids. He wanted to sit in the cockpit and look out the window. But all in all a great place for everyone
Tickets for 3 of us were £13.00. They have a little cafe at the back for hot and cold drinks and a few snacks, no hot food. We stayed about 2 hours. Good for kids.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
It was really good, lots of planes to see, you can also go inside some of them as well. Fantastic photo opportunities. Very cheap entrance and the fee includes the carpark as well. There is a cafe, but we took our own picnic where you can sit and watch planes taking off from East Midlands Airport
Not many planes there, but you can have a look inside some of them. It's just a fiver to get in! And you have an amazing view on the actual airport and the planes taking off. Definitely recommended. And pick something to eat while watching the planes.
Taking away a star because we were told after we enquired about it that we can’t go into any planes due to lack of volunteers which we felt would have been helpful to be mentioned in the beginning when we bought our tickets as that was our main reason for going! So our little one was slightly frustrated, but we still did have fun watching the planes take off and land and looking around, that little bit just took away some of the fun we could’ve had. Considering they’re only open 3 days a week it’s a shame they don’t have a volunteer to help on a weekend in half term time. There was a cafe and toilets on site and you can bring a picnic to enjoy watching the planes.
Was a good way to waste an hour or two, run by volunteers who are all super friendly and helpful. £5 adults, £3 children, under 5 free. Small shop selling gifts and hot/cold drinks, but this is not a cafe, there is no hot/cold food.
Lovely morning exploring the planes and a super interesting look inside a former spy plane. Staff were very knowledgeable and great with the young children with us. We saw several planes take off and land which the kids loved. We will definitely visit again!Visited onWeekendWait timeNo wait
