Probably the most worthwhile restaurant on both campus' because of the food to price ratio. Don't get the burger lol. During peak hours, the service is rather slow so expect it to take over 30min for some dishes to come out.
A powerful atmosphere where both students and teachers alike share drinks and information on their courses, with music you can decide with an app on your phone and cheap alcohol you can't really complain. 4-7pm is happy hour with house spirits being £2 a shot including mixer and Carling, Stowford Press and Doom bar being available on tap for £2 also. With events like the Pub Quiz on Mondays from 7 and Kareoke night from 7 on a Thursday it's a great night out for you and your housemates. Located in Poole House Talbot campus up the stairs by Starbucks.
What can you expect from a student bar, drinks are fairly priced, decor is showing its age and the events hosted are okay. Food is okay but you'll be waiting a while for it, if it is not chips or salad. Staff prefer to chat rather than pour drinks but generally the place is okay
Tasty food, reasonably priced for students with a small selection of guest ales as well. Happy hour and a selection of events on in the evenings from Karaoke night to Quiz night. Food can take a while to be cooked depending on the amount of people there. Nice atmosphere with good seating.
Sausages always raw all of the last 6 times I have been there, given me food poisoning. Food does not match menu description "homemade parsnip soup with half a French baguette" comes out as a plate of 1cm deep orange slush with an end piece of stale loaf. Servers are nice though
Decent place for pub food during lectures, or to have a drink at the end of the day. A lot of the time, some foods are out of stock, which is disappointing. But the staff are great, and the food is always good, even if the menu hardly ever changes.
Liked it a lot. Student bar, but you don't get thrown out for wearing a suit and tie! No bitter available but I survived on lager. Nice atmosphere and very comfortable seating set up.
Quite hit and miss depending on the chef. Sometimes the food is good and really worth it for its price. While other times I find the meal genuinely uneatable. At least the large portion of nachos is rarely disappointing.
They have good food and the evenings can be very entertaining from quiz night to karaoke there's something for everyone. However even during the day its quite loud making it difficult to have conversations with people not sitting right next to one.
The pepperoni pizza was truly amazing. Loved the crispy base and generous toppings. And at a very student-friendly price. Will definitely come back for more.
