Yesterday, we had yet another lovely meal. For the first time, we decided to have it delivered rather than collect it. Very good service. We've never had a bad meal from this establishment. Staff always very pleasant too
I put in a big order to treat my family. What a mistake it was ordering from Jade Cottage. The pancake rolls were basically filled with bean sprouts - very little favour. The batter was very thick and was not crispy. There was so much grease that the bag they came in must have had 3 or 4 tablespoons of oil swimming in the bottom. The side sauces - plum sauce, curry sauce & sweet n sour were vile - too thin or too thick and tasteless. Tasted like prepackaged sauce not zippy and zesty house made- I could go on...worst Chinese ever ordered. I actually feel ripped off as sometimes a take out may not be perfect but this was a tough job to actually eat this - let alone enjoy it. YUCK!!
Always good! We have been going there for years now and they never fail on quality of their food and service. Best Chinese takeaway around.
It's strickly take-away, no place to sit and eat. Minor mix-up on our order, but not regretable at all. The young lady helping her mother run the place was a real charmer. Very clean.
