A busy/lively bar, staff were friendly and served us pretty quickly. A great menu for good too. All in all a nice (but not cheap) place to frequent.

Good selection of ales, serves food children and dogs welcome. Expensive prices considering the it's a bit grubby in places. Friendly atmosphere with helpful cheerful staff

I have hired a room three times for family events: two funeral wakes and a birthday party. They were accommodating and the buffet food is ok, though the last time (recently) there wasn't enough of the most popular items and only three bowls of chips for 30 people. £11 per head for menu without fresh meats but included a tea earn and a piece of cake. The room was a little cramped and in need of brightening up. Convenient for children as the play area can be accessed via french windows.

A great cosy pub, good value food and drinks for what you get, the food I've had has always been very good and well presented and staff are friendly. Love sitting in the book with the open fire place in the comfy chairs. The pub is always clean and tidy and the outside play area is good fun for children, but I'd say for 4+ rather than toddlers.

Very overpriced food and drink. Dogs are allowed in the food eating area which I think is wrong. Sent my meal back which I never ever do but as I paid so much for our meals I had to, and as I was paying the drinks tab another customer sent their meal back. Will go back ever again
