Lovely well kept ope spaces, perfect for sitting with a picnic or flying a kite on a sunny day. Cafe has a good selection of reasonably priced food and drink items. Free cold water is also on offer inside to fill your own bottles. Well worth a visit.

Wonderful views. Interesting location almost directly above a gliding club you can watch gliders landing from above. The red kites also were soaring below us. There is a lovely walking/jogging path along the crest of the slope/cliff with benches overlooking the wonderful views. There were dogs playing catch with their owners too. It was pretty flat with gentle slopes on the foot path probably suitable for wheelchairs or mobility scooter. Only negative was it was very very windy the day we were there and with such long reaching views there is no blocking the wind. BUT the visitor centre has a glass fronted cafe where you can get a bite or a cuppa and enjoy the views from indoors.

Coffee is better than it used to be, much quicker service now they seem to have older folk working there. Very busy as well, or maybe it's due to winter months forcing us indoors more. Nice food as well and lots of indoor plus outdoor seating. Great views over the downs. Recommend this as a stop for walkers and cyclists alike.

If you are feeling stressed or depressed this is the place to go, you can see for miles (on a clear day) there are other people but not crowds ....during the week, different if its a sunny weekend or kite festival. There is a good feel about the place and for those more connected you can feel the history .....bronze age burial chambers and a sense of the past. The national trust visitor centre sells hot drinks and basic food and if cold or wet you can sit inside and look out on the world a great place to clear your mind or even go and work. Just been there today -3C and a strong wind (wind chill...-9C) , snow on the ground beautiful sunshine in between snow flurries. The nearest thing to standing on a Cornish cliff top (but without the sea) when you are in Bedfordshire.

This was a surprise find whilst I was on a cycle ride. The views are amazing, as the cafe is on a hill top. The cafe serves decent food at a reasonable price. There is plenty of seating inside and outside. There's a fairly large car park. Service was friendly and quick.
