Story

A grand and homely place is a true rarity, and the Dunadry Hotel is unlike any other.
A four-star hotel built on the site of an ancient fort and once home to both paper and linen mills, the Dunadry Hotel is rich with stories of times past.

For some, we've had the privilege of hosting the happiest days of their lives. For others, the Dunadry is home to fond memories of reunions and celebrations. We warmly invite you to share your story with us; to become a piece of our history here; to help us create new memories in this rare and beautiful place.

•Drinks are very expensive - £13 for a beer and a white wine spritzer •Food it’s equally as expensive for small portions (my pea and ‘king’ prawn risotto had 3 prawns) and this is bar food at best. •After moving rooms because our first was so cold and the heating could not be fixed the second constantly had the sound of running water. •The ‘double bed’ was two singles shoved together. •We went to the bar for drinks and (although there was a wedding taking place) there was nowhere for hotel guests to sit unless you wanted to be isolated and sit upstairs where there is no atmosphere. •My wife and I married here ten years ago and returned to celebrate but I was more than disappointed with our return visit and would not recommend the hotel, bar or restaurant to anyone. Shame

Was there for Sunday carvery for my Granda's birthday. Great selection of food, service and provision for young kids. Highly recommended!

The Dunadry Hotel is a delightful establishment with beautiful gardens. In May 1998, Tony Blair was photographed with David Trimble and John Hume sitting under two giant lime trees. Locally this is known as the 'metaphor tree' as it has pertinent connections with the Peace Process. The staff are very attentive and pleasant. The food is reasonably priced and superb. There is a pleasant atmosphere and ambience in the Bistro. The Dunadry Hotel is due to be renovated with works commencing in the ballroom. I can't comment on the rooms as I live close to the Dunadry Hotel. The Dunadry Hotel is an excellent spot.

First impressions are very good. The hotel has a lovely setting next to a river and with nice gardens and outside sitting areas. The reception and bars are very appealing and the staff throughout the hotel are very friendly and helpful. The food In the restaurant is excellent and the choice at breakfast is spot on. There is a gym and pool in the hotel grounds that are open to the public but are free to use for guests. My only concern would be if staying when there was a wedding on, the music from the ballroom area is very loud and you can also expect guests to be noisily wandering the corridors in the early hours.

Good food and great staff. The refurbishment work did not effect us so I would recommend the hotel.
