Friendly polite staff, service was slow. However when the food came it was excellent. Worth the wait. Good range of beers. Overall highly recommended.

Good choice of food here; menu has updates fairly often, but keeps old favorites. Eat in restaurant or more casually in the bar. Service is efficient and friendly. Has selection of (usually 4) real ales.

Great food, and a good selection of drinks including wines and ales. Staff are friendly and helpful and the surroundings are classic country pub style of the real variety rather than out of a brewery's designer's mind.

What a beautiful pub in Sedgefield full of character! We visited yesterday for our 1st wedding anniversary and were surprised by the warmth - and Christmas decorations. Our meal was lovely and service spot on. Would recommend to anyone locally or from further afield.
