After I've got a pretty rude attitude of one of the reception staff when I have called to request information about registering as a patient with this practice, I was quite doubtful that this is the GP Practice I actually want to be assigned to. However, Big indeed was my surprise when, at my first visit with the midwife I've got to meet face to face the reception ladies.....very busy, trying as much as they can to assist and I guess sometimes they do come across not as thoughtful and helpful as we would like them to be....but I was truly pleased to meet Joanne, a very nice and polite lady who went beyond the scope of duty to make sure I am a satisfied 'customer' and I can make all necessary appointments I need in time. As I am currently pregnant, the midwife I have met was also very helpful and arranged an appointment with the GP the same day and requested for a meeting with a OBG Consultant much earlier than it was initially booked .... making sure that there will not be critical hiccups with the pregnancy, particularly during my first trimester. What can I say, despite the initial less promising contact with the surgery over the phone, my afterward experience was a very positive one. I am sure there is still room for improvement ....like anywhere else otherwise.....however all in all I am really happy with the speed appointments have been confirmed and the way I was treated as a patient up till now. Thank you Joanne once again! You are a great lady on so many levels. Merry Christmas to Everyone at Dr. Abela's Practice and the best wishes for 2018!

Thoroughly pleased with the service. Always friendly on reception and doctors/nurses very thorough and friendly. Waiting times are also not too long at all! Clean practice and me & my partner very happy to be clients.

Chafford Hundred Medical Centre you should be ashamed of yourselves. As a nurse myself I understand the importance of the drug azothiaprine, your doctors and receptionists however have no idea what missed doses for my father mean to his health. The way my parents are being dealt with right now is too infuriating for words, particularly your Scottish receptionist Susane Porter. Perhaps you should invest in some customer service training or replacing your incredibly rude staff. My heart is breaking for my father who is unwell without the prescription he needs and was told would be ready weeks ago! You have screwed over the wrong clients this time and you will not hear the end of this. I'd like my friends in the UK to be made aware of what a complete lack of professionalism and patient care you have, two of the most important things in the industry. Feel free to share this friends so these clowns can get the bad press they are clearly so desperate to get!

I would do minus stars if I can! Terrible service, unbelievable how it was so hard to book an appointment through phone service, couldn't make an appointment on the day even through a walk in!!! And once I gone through all the trouble in booking the appointment, I was only seen for less than 3 minutes, while it took me 12 calls (line was always busy), one walk in just to book the appointment that was less than a 3 minute consultation!!! It's ridiculous to know this is the kind of service NHS supplies us with! Free medical service? Why not consider Google, even a search engine could do a better job than our local GP...

Poor communication in the reception, I was nearly arguing with one of them because she told me to leave my buggy outside despide the fact that my 1year boy was sleeping. I said to her that I'm not going to stay long I just want to get the forms and complete them. She said I told you to leave outside. There was other people and one of them said she can't do that. Is this the way how she should treat the people???? I know the health and safety but how I can leave the buggy close to the door with a child sleeping and she still was insisting. So I just took the forms and I went. I didn't go through the gp services but i didn't feel overwhelmed at all.
