It's so unfortunate to have gone through so much bad from a surgery in such a short amount of time. I am a new patient who has been registered 7 weeks. In this time I have been offered two home visits and the doctor did not turn up either time, also there were a few phone calls which should've come to me which didn't. I have severe agoraphobia and great difficulty and discomfort walking, I was ordered to go into the surgery even though the doctor could've come to the apartment I live in, this means double dosing on tramadol and ibuprofen for one week prior to the appointment, putting up with numerous side-effects from that, especially feeling sick and being sick most of the time and skin itching almost constantly, that where I've scratched my legs are now nearly black, amongst other things including more very heavy pain, which actually does happen the more painkillers one takes. I made it apparent other patients must not be near to me, yet when I came out of his office there were people standing there in his doorway that I had to go through, the doctor did nothing. I don't think I need to mention what I thought about that, but one consequence of that was I couldn't even have my son close to me for a week, and he is the one who brings my food and medicines as I'm otherwise in bed 24/7 so basically it was all a pure hell. All this just so that I went into the surgery. Its all so wrong. I also needed a letter to send to a couple of establishments explaining my situations and bad health, explanations which are also on my doctors records from the last 54 years, and rather than the doctor stating my situation, he just wrote that I had said that my situation is bad et cetera. In other words the exact same thing that I can state in a letter that wrote ~ totally useless worthless letters. The surgery is a complete let down, I've never had such a problem getting a letter from the doctor before, nor a home visit since my illnesses has become so bad. Next, the prescription method is terrible and very frustrating because of surgery errors, everyone having to put a request slip in every week, my son for late 70s parents having to sort this then go to a far off supermarket to pick the medicine up, then twice in one month the prescription was lost, my son went to Tesco to pick the items up and it was not there eventhough I had called the surgery previously to doublecheck it had gone, and was told it had been picked up by Tesco staff. So already I'm having to go through a claim for wasted taxi fares of nearly £20.00. There are other things too but this is enough for now. Such a disappointment.
