If I could I would put no stars spent 40 minutes on phone to be told all call back are gone even though I started ringing at 8 have to wait over a month for an appointment yet they are thinking of extending the boundaries to take on other patients when they can't cope already
I am new to the area and recently signed up to this surgery and am so glad I did. The staff are friendly and efficient, even the night guard yes - this fantastic place is even open until 8pm which is great if you work late. I was given my first appointment with only a couple of days to wait and was impressed with the facilities. I appreciate if you just "walk in" you will have a long wait - not the staff's fault - they are coping with unpredictable numbers. But if you book your appointment I have had two in the past month both times I was seen exactly on time. Couldn't rate the place more highly - thank you!
Very rude and incompetent reception staff, who will keep you waiting for minutes while they finish their conversation about where they are going on the weekend, then they are generally condescending and dismissive. Impossible to get an appointment on the day.
Call this morning started before 8am so I should get though quicker was number 7. Got though by 3 min pass 8 and still they say there is no appointment left.. If your thinking about joining this surgery don't bother.
This place is a nightmare. Tried to get an appointment as my prescription won't renew without one but no appointments for a month. It's not urgent so I can wait that long but the one time/date they had I can't do. Asked for the following week but they only release a month in advance. So told to call back 8am to sort an appointment but have had to do this before and it's a nightmare. The line is engaged constantly and when they finally get to my call all the appointments are gone. Will be changing Drs as the hoops you have to jump through to get seen are insane.
After calling ten minutes before my appointment to say I may be a little late, I was told I needed to get there exactly on the dot of my appointment otherwise she didn't know how long I'd have to wait to see the nurse. Fair enough. Ten minutes later, when I'm right outside the gate of the place, baring in mind I had come from Chatham for this appointment and pretty much ran all the way from gravesend station to make sure I wasn't late. I get a call back. The receptionist, who had previously looked at my details and appointment time had phoned back to tell me that the receptionist who had booked in this appointment and had the date wrong and should have booked it in for the 10th of April not the 31st of march. By this point I was livid, get some competent reception staff who can tell date and time and doesn't wait until their patients are at the gate to rebook their appointment for them!! I'll be looking for a new doctors surgery thank you very much.
Awful. 75 times I called on one day and still could not get through to make an appointment as my doctors needed to see me after calling me in from a blood test. Had to go to the surgery instead to make the appointment only to be told to call in the morning again. They even have what looks like a security guard on the door as they obviously have lots of issues with people getting frustrated. They have great doctors but not enough for the amount of people going to the surgery. Stop taking people on if u can't cope!!!
It is really sad because the doctors are all very professional and quite nice once you can get into see them. You actually forget the long wait and the poor quality customer service which I have experienced both on the phone and in visiting. I guess we should be grateful. We are disappointed because this is not a free service and we expect better. Based on my last experience I was just going to post that, but there must be some changes in staff or training, because I just got a first class customer service when i telephoned the surgery just now.
I have just returned from seeing the doctor with my daughter. Yes we did have to wait but I am fine with that as we had no appointment. The doctor we saw was kind, professional and caring. To think this service was free is quite amazing well done NHS. At the pharmacy we also received fantastic and caring service.
Just been there for a blood test, after waiting for 20 mins and seeing how others that arrived after me are going in I asked the nurse when was I going to go in. Lady asked my name and told me that that person already been there and tested! When I said that’s my name and I haven’t been tested yet they got me into the room and I see a bag with a paper with my details and someone else’s blood inside the same bag with my details on it…. Well, just hoping I’ll get me own results and no someone else’s results! Very scary….
