Had a fabulous evening here as part of the dine out at Ego which is a fabulous deal. We were served by Laura who was fantastic as was the food which was yummy. The table we were allocated was not the best but we could have asked to change it which we didn’t. Not withstanding that it was a wonderful and economical evening out. Looking forward to booking again soon.
The service and food quality has definitely declined in the last year or so. I used to be a regular here - every month on average but lately the food quality is cheap and service shocking. Took 4 asks to get water to the table, mains took forever and spent 10 mins trying to flag down someone to pay the bill. The menu has always been big but it seems they can’t sustain it anymore and definitely cutting corners
Food is amazing, and the staff are lovely. Would highly recommend. Didn’t get the name of our server, but he was very good at his job and helped with my dietary requirements without even being asked. Megan the manager Went above and beyond and is exceptional with her customer service and professionalism. Both assets to the company Dietary restrictions: I’m gluten-free and they had a very nice gluten-free lager and adapted the food to make every bit of it gluten-free. The bread was delicious and All of the food
I have given 5 stars for the service received by our waiter!!Young lad, blonde hair, excellent and knew his stuff. Service based on the wait for food would have been only 2 stars.Nearly an hours wait for starters.....after an hour and half still had only eaten starters, ordered our puddings whilst still eating mains to ensure we we weren't waiting even longer. Based on this we would return but much earlier!
Had a staff Xmas party, ordered off the set festive menu. Fantastic food! I got the fishcake, gnocci and lemon tart. Everything was delicious, the service was great. Nice decorations and warm atmosphere. Would recommend. Vegetarian options: Not a lot but the options there are very tasty
Large and stylish interior decor. Bookings probably recommended Service efficient and clinical Food was good enough - goats cheese starter was tasty but not quite sure it works sat on top of toast which just becomes soggy Rump steaks were fine - the usual rump trade of a little tenderness for a little more flavour - nice enough Sea bass was generous portion and nicely cooked, though my fishcakes were a little bit dry to be honest Rhubarb crumble was crisp and with good balance of sweet / sour flavour. Could not taste the alleged gin in it - bit of a pointless gimmick I think. Overall very pleasant Final issue - the ramp walking down to the car park is in quite poor condition and a trip hazard in places for older people with walking sticks - needs a bit of re-pointing
The excellent food is the only thing keeping this review at 4 stars. Waited 25 minutes from being seated to even having a drinks order taken. Waited another 25 minutes after finishing mains to order dessert. Lots of staff, just not doing a lot. Most of them stood at the till looking bored. Sunday roast was excellent though and the staff we did interact with were nice.
The food was incredible - the chicken/chorizo starter was so good! I had the hanging mixed kebabs - so tasty. My partner had the rump steak and was perfectly cooked and full of flavour. Will definitely be back!
three of us arrived 1:20pm on tuesday, not many empty tables left. recommend book table in advance. it is a comprehensive menu. lunch time 2 and 3 courses cost approximately £18 and £21 respectively. the meals we ordered were tasty. i wished there would be more custard than toffee sauce in the dessert sticky toffee pudding with custard.
We went for the Steak Night which is incredible value. What’s not to like about a small rump steak for £10. The service was great as usual. We keep going back !Food: 4/5
