Great food and customer service. We have had some amazing seafood, poultry and meats from Donald Russell. Not everything is to our taste, but we have been steadily working our way through the range and finding more than a few outstanding favourites.
About 8-10 weeks ago bought the £50 box of assorted meats as we had tried many years ago and were satisfied. This time the beef mince as exceedingly greasy and when we came to eat the lamb chops they were inedible and so tough we had to discard them into our food waste bin. I still have 2 sirloin steaks and shudder to think what awaits us. Very poor results from the last time.
I gave Donald Russell 1 star last year for all their Christmas and New Year last-minute cancelations. However, after the holidays, they apologized and refunded me without problems or delays, so I decided to give them a second chance. And I did not regret this for one bit: the food was very high quality, very well packed, and a good variety of food and dishes. My husband and I work a lot, and I admit we have tended to order food, which we don't have to do as much anymore. I just received my third order, and I'm delighted. Donald Russell has redeemed themself 100%
We've been using Donald Russell for nearly a year now and we're very impressed with the quality, taste and range of all of their products. Delivery is well packaged so arrives frozen. The only problem we have is trying to fit it all in the freezer!
I paid £77 for a mixture of meat all of which was very small. I'm appaled and surprised they charge that much for what I could get from a supermarket for about £20-25 . Very disgruntled.
Great stuff - the 1st delivery .. well went 100% wrong, useless delivery driver lied about where he dropped the food, a quick chat with DR and they resent. Yes it was worth the wait, the packaging is outstanding, even on a mad hot day, the food was still perfect. Obviously you need someone who can cook to make it perfect - but wow a really good quality food, nicely seasoned. All good from me!

Although a loyal customer for several years, increasingly DR is displaying a cozy-complacency... website malfunctions causing ordering chaos reported since December 2022 continues. Helpline staff openly acknowledge on-line problems my last order took 3 phone calls & a supervisor to correct. Delivery promised for a Wednesday arrived Thursday & to the wrong address. Emails to DR remain ignored & unanswered. Good product-range but little or no customer-care.
Always a good experience, a little expensive but good quality and the delivery is always on time
Please read the trust pilot reviews before making a decision to order food from this company! Completed a food order over a month before the delivery date. First of all I was told they couldn’t deliver on the 27/12/21 and it would have to be the 28/12/21 anytime between 7am - 8pm. Waited in all day and now it’s 8pm on the day it was supposed to have arrived and it’s not come. Absolutely disgusting company and how they get away with treating people this way is beyond me. Im surprised they are still trading. AVOID IF YOU VALUE YOUR SANITY
