It gets worse every year always trouble and just full of people looking to cause trouble give up with the place.
Great karaoke afternoon ,too short a time for some reason
Horrible bar woman. Needs sacking. Blonde hair and looks like a man. No manners and no neogotion skills. Just scream at you and don't listen. Poor bar maid and wonder how she is working there.
Cheap drinks and a poor music selection, typically repeated every week. Weekdays are usually dead. Facilities are disgusting and staff clearly do not care.
Very lovely pub & restaurant, very lovely meals & different alcoholic beverages. Very friendly & helpful staff, would definitely visit again when over in Jersey. Definitely recommend.
Good to watch the match, various screens to view from different parts of the pub. Price of beer is very good cheapest around and staff are good but apart from that I wouldn't come here especially on a Friday or Saturday night as it attracts a lot of violence. The mens toilets are a disgrace. Think it had a refurb a couple of years ago but already looks worn and tired. Doesn't serve food.
Can be very busy Ques from Front door on Weekend and very packed with 2am last drinking time. Small bar as you enter the front door way so expect when busy a wait to get served . Usually quiet during the week with usual Regular drinkers who are local in watching the Horse Racing or sports/pool table an bar Staff are very nice. Recently changed the payment system with Cards to min 5.00 per order. Usual pint of Fosters larger is about £2.00 so cheaper then a few pubs about. Large area outside area for socializing which acts as a smoking area with a tv an heat lamps outside. Attracts a mixed crowd mostly 18+ to older. Karokie on some nights for a sing song. Has security on doors over the Weekend so Expect if you look Younger to provide Id on Entry.
The Royal has a semi decent selection of alcohol but the security staff is substandard. I assume the Royal is in business to make money, not prevent customers from visiting as they have done here. Understand security is always needed and I don’t disagree. However, when your staff blatantly films/scans new out of town guests with body cameras when they’ve done nothing wrong reveals something akin to an Orwellian message “we’re watching you”. Watch out for the goons that have no idea how to collect discreetly while simultaneously creating an environment of comfort leading to profit. If you want your face in their database be sure to show up on your best picture day.
Great weekend nightlife nice looking bar Freindly bar staff and security
As a pub to watch the football in its pretty good. Tv's inside and outside in the beer garden. In fact during the day time and early evening it can actually be a great little pub. Things change when the rabble arrive after around 9pm. Full of youngsters. That being said..it gives Runcorn a place to dance in the evening without being ripped off.
