What a great place to spend a lazy Saturday afternoon. This was our first stop after we dropped our bags at our nearby hotel. We split the large fish and chips. Both were cooked to perfection. We had a carafe of tap water to quench our thirst. But dang, the bar menu looked incredible. Our server in the small dining room did a great job of taking care of us. Top two levels were hosting private parties, so we sat in the main floor dining hall. As we were leaving, we went down a level to where the party was happening!! It was lit. Overall, this was a great pUb to grab a bite to eat. Excellent views of the Thames river! We weren't disappointed!
Lovely venue by the Thames for all occasions! There is plenty of indoor seating with plenty of TVs for sport, a nice beer garden to the rear, and several Thames-side tables at the front. Unfortunately, permanent QR codes to oder on the table were too worn to use. Bar service was quick, but there was confusion over bringing platter and main dishes together - even when I queried - and this ruined the meal. Food was pretty good, except the prawn sauce, which may have had too much mustard in it. The bar wasn't very clean customer-side, staff didn't seem to care which was disappointing, possibly understaffed for very nice evening sunny weather. There is a fantastic rooftop balcony available to hire privately, and a good selection of food and drink. I will be back !!! Parking: Parking available at the National Theatre - a lovely walk along the Thames away!
We recently hired the rooftop area for the day 2 of our wedding. The space has been recently renovated and is absolutely perfect for a party, especially if the weather is nice. They provide a BBQ for the event, we chose the premium menu and the buffet included salads and potatoes and plenty of BBQ food. All the guests were impressed with the food it was really delicious! We were able to hire the space all day and when the city lights come on the view is even more spectacular from the rooftop! We hired a singer to play at the event which the pub were happy for us to do and it was a great addition to the day! Such a great day, thank you!
We ordered the Sunday Roast beef and it was very good. We loved it! We also ordered a veggie salad, which was good too. The service was very nice with us, and the area is good too.Food: 4/5
Doggetts is a nice place and very busy due to London Pride. I found a nice comfortable seat and was able to order easily using the app to save having to leaving belongings unattended. Great stuff! Drinks came quickly and no problem at all. Stayed for a few drinks, and opted to get food. The food unfortunately let's the rating down. No complaints on time to bring to table. But had the steak and ale pie, where the pie itself was fine but the chips served with it were stone cold. No idea where can get salt from as the guy who served it didn't give a second to check before running off. Of the whole plate only the pie was steaming hot. Very disappointing considering the cost of it. Staff don't hang around enough to raise the problem. Quite sad really as was looking forward to eating here first time in a while. Overall...happy with drinks only service. But I'm quite let down on food and service overall, feeling like I'd have better spent my money elsewhere don't think I'll be back anytime soon.
Nicely decorated and a great view from the upstairs area when it’s not hired out. Live music at the front by the bar, so would recommend sitting towards the back if you wanted a more audible conversation. Food was good and well presented, but a shame that the signature Steak and Ale Pie was sold out!Food: 4/5
This is a nice pub, quite large and service was fast. The fries and the fish were excellent. I have a glass of wine as well. Nice place to hang out in the afternoon.Food: 4/5
This establishment wins points just by its location alone. The drinks section is spacious and inviting but has a peculiar smell. The dining area is located up a flight of stairs and boasts quite a nice view of the Thames. The food was great, and our host welcoming. This venue is great for after work drinks and dinner. Would definitely return.
Good…very good. Good quality English style cooking. Must go place if your hotel is near by.Food: 5/5
The pies! Oh my god, the pies! Fantastic food. Everyone licked their plates. I could drink the gravy. And don't miss the sticky toffee pudding!Food: 5/5
