Dog & Gun Country Inn

Went here for a Sunday lunch and wasn't disappointed. The friendly service and the excellent food makes this place 5 stars. I had the roast beef and my wife and daughter had the pork both were superb. Washed down with a nice pint of draught Timothy Taylor Landlord. An superb afternoon.

Visited on a Thursday needed to book due to new Covid 10pm closing times etc, only food on menu was the 'build your own burger, £10' which was exactly what we wanted!!! Fantastic value for money & possibly the best burger I've had!!! Service was excellent & staff were very friendly. Lovely surroundings & pub.

Went for pie night on Wednesday. Lovely pies and very welcoming staff. Apple and berry crumble was delicious.

Lovely place. The food is delicious and good quality, all home made including the chicken nuggets on the children's menu. The staff are helpful and friendly and are going out of their way to keep everyone safe during covid. Try the steak and ale pie and the pan fried salmon.

Fabulous local pub ,great food with a friendly welcome. Definitely recommend a visit.
