I was very emotional in leaving my place but with the guys that their hummer made the second most stressful event in my life more bearable. 
I didn't shed a tear when i left and direct moves made it worthwhile in clearing out the place I had many happy memories. Can't say I'm sad because of other influences but thanks direct moves for yr help.
Great family firm that everyone needs to support who lives in Sawbridgeworth and Bishop's Stortford more.

Despite the owner visiting us prior to the move and assessing the contents of our home and garden, we were surprised when we saw the size of the van on the removal day. Our fears were realised as our furniture was pushed and shoved into the van and we carried three car loads of items.  Even the removal men said they were embarrassed about it. 
At our house nothing was put down on the floor and as they carried pots through the house and mud was left on the carpets.
Nothing seemed to be covered as it was loaded into the van and consequently paint was badly chipped from furniture and our suite and mattress had grubby marks and hand prints on them. Bolts were missing from the bed as drawer contents tipped out and were wrongly replaced, other drawer items were found all over the place as they had not been secured properly.
When I asked the owner to visit me to see the damage sustained he refused and was rude and unprofessional, insisting  that the van was big enough and maintaining the furniture was covered [he was not there to see!]  and any damage was minimal. Despite sending me an insurance claim form which I filled in and provided photos, he decided not to submit it and sent me a cheque for half the cost of cleaning the suite! 
The most upsetting aspect of this was the owner’s attitude and insistence that everything had been done correctly. We would not be writing this if he had dealt with the matter in a professional way.

Very disappointed with this company. Incredible rude lady who took our additional box deposit money despite taking another clients booking who confirmed their moving date a few hours before us. Do not use this very small company as they clearly can not service more than one or two house moves in a day. Go to a larger , more professional company that were cheaper and could accommodate late changes particularly if you have a short time between exchange and completion. House moves are stressful enough without removals companies saying they just can't do the pencilled in date and don't offer you any alternative companies or advice.
