I’m only giving one star for the them giving us a dress however, the measurements were incorrect. When we told them the measurements are wrong they denied it and the paperwork proved what we said. They then went to fix it but it looked silly with a large lace and the bodice was too long which also was very unflattering. The price for product was certainly not worth it. Just avoid.
I have to give one star to write a post! Not worth this either - awful awful awful! I was buying for my sons wedding and Neha was in India and very limited communication via WhatsApp. I had to pay via a bank transfer - what’s that about?? And when the dress arrived completely wrong colour and the narcissist man who was there had the audacity to argue and shout at me!! It was harrowing - couldn’t get a word in - he talked all over me except when my 6ft2 son who boxes walked in as I was getting very upset - he then simmered down. My refund was all in cash and old out of circulation £20 notes!!! Dodgy and questionable business dealings and conveniently Neha unavailable to talk to!!! If you want a decent service and to be treated with dignity to spend your hard earned money - with all due respect DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!!! Shocking
Neha was absolutely brilliant!! She is a star so definitely ignore all these negative reviews. From the very start of our shopping experience with Dimpys, neha gave us a warm welcome and listened carefully to all our requirements for our outfits. She assisted us around the shop, giving great advice and recommendations for our outfits. Our custom outfits arrived perfectly on time. Neha and the rest of the staff would make alterations there and then so we were able to leave the shop with our outfits perfectly ready to wear. Neha even went above and beyond to deliver me a part of my outfit - this was very considerate of her and we thank her a lot. Neha really was the nicest, loveliest shop owner on soho road - we absolutely can't recommend her enough. We definitely will be shopping at dimpys again for our future functions!!
Avoid this place at all costs. My mother in law purchased a suit from this store for £100. He said fitting would be done. It took 9 attempts for them to try and get the fitting right we live 40 minutes from this shop and we had to keep going back for alterations in the end the man said I will fix the suit and drop it to your house after 3 weeks we heard nothing. In the end the man said he would refund us the money for the suit and refused to speak to us. Refund was received a week later. Avoid this shop quick to take money poor when it comes to service. Can’t wear a suit if it doesn’t fit you and 9 attempts of someone visiting your shop to get it fixed is poor.
NOT EVEN WORTH A ONE STAR! After paying for my outfit in full — BIG MISTAKE! it took numerous calls/ texts/ visits to actually get it! The joke of it was I was measured 3 bloody times and still the outfit came 2 sizes to big! The skirt was too long! The fitting was awful! Not once did the nasty owner and his plastic wife apologise for wasting my time and money! AVOID THESE DISGUSTING PPL! They have no morals! He’s happy enough to take your money at the start then that’s it! And it looks like I’m not the only one to experience this here!
We bought lehengas for my nephew's wedding from Dimpy's. Staff is very friendly. Neha served us. I will give 5 stars for her brilliant customer service.
No. Just no. If you're buying something straight from the shelf, then fine. Anything on order, just forget it. Firstly, he only takes cash to avoid declaring the income to the tax man. Secondly, he very big to boast you can order anything in any colour, size, quantity etc.. in 6 weeks. No. Not even a long shot. I ordered 3 dresses in turquoise. Paid up front. We all got our measurements done and were fairly content in waiting 6-8 weeks. He said he'd order a swatch so we could see the colour, design etc... 6 weeks later, after much chasing, a swatch finally arrives which is nothing like the dresses we ordered. We still have time and he says he'll order another swatch. Another month rolls by and still no sign of a swatch. Getting close to our deadline so i drive to see him from Yorkshire as there's no answer on the phone. After wasting 3 months, giving me the run around, i ask for a full refund. He says he can't give a refund. Just take different dresses but he has nothing in my colour scheme. I insist on a refund - he says he doesn't have the money. Tells me to come back anther day which i do and he's not there. I wait 3 hours for him to show, give up and go home. The staff can't do refunds and say they can only refund me by the methods in which i paid. The staff say he's not paid them for weeks. When he does pays them by cheque, he cancels the cheque. After threatening to report him, he says he can give me a card refund. He refused to take my long card number and says he needs my sort code and account number. Over a week rolls by, still o no sign of the funds. This back and forth in chasing my 4 figure refund this on for weeks. In the end after threatening to report him again, i get a debit card refund from a random electrical store. Total headache.
Ordered my wedding sherwani 5 months prior to my wedding as i wanted it for June, which i think is more than enough time to make a suit. i called the shop and the guy multiple times as it got closer to the time but no-one ever picked up. When i did get through to him, he kept on saying, it will be here next week for several weeks which made me really frustrated. i went it to the store multiple times to sort this out but to no avail and he also advised it would be delivered to my house which was a lie basically anything to get off his back. when my sherwani arrived, it was too tight when i told him to make it slightly loose and also there was a tassel missing from my scarf and the shoes had stains on them. i went back the next week to see if they made the suit looser but it was still tight so they said they would do an emergency order and get it to me within a week. i came back the week after and i told the guy that i wanted the suit in ivory and NOT GOLD but this time the suit fitted but the color was changed to gold and the tassels from my scarf were not sorted out and the shoes were too big! in the end, 2 weeks from my wedding, i took a suit off the shelf and made sure they gave me a heavy discount due to wasting my time and getting the order wrong.. would i recommend them for a wedding? if you like to be stressed out and multiple trips to the store, then yes, go ahead. but if you are a normal person, then HELL NO!
Poor service waited for dress for over 2 month for them to get wrong, then they said we can't have a full refund, they are a waste of time.
Very very bad services order a dress in November they not delivered till end of December and after they said we return late feee but ...... nothing pay us
