I Purchased a sofa suite from this store. Mr Khan was brilliant absolutely and fantastic . he was so helpful. we have had the sofa delivered and as we were renovating we did not open it until about 5 weeks after delivery. he has been so accommodating and has asked me to email the store so that he can help me get the cushions even after the delivery. fantastic service all round and i would always buy from DFS ROMFORD STORE because of the help and service provided by Mr Khan. Five stars all the way!!!!!!!!

Awful services, taken a deposit that I didn’t need to pay, I found that out once speaking to head office. Not told about any delivery charges, transferred my deposit to a new order without my authorisation. Didn’t explain anything to me. I will be returning to store to cancel my order as they don’t ever seem to want to call me back and also have no direct number. I cannot keep going into the store. If they had an option for no stars I would choose that. DFS Gallows corner. You have caused nothing but headache !!!!
Absolutely awful service, I ordered a sofa 5 month ago and it has still not been delivered, i have called customer service, they are just a middle man to the shop as you cant call the shop directly. every time i call the customer service they need to call and speak to the shop but cant get through, the shop hasn't called me once, i had to travel in to get an answer to where my sofa is. The delivery date keeps changing and nobody can tell me why or when i'm going to get it. I would never order from here again
Awful customer service. Ordered an ex display sofa from the 27th March. Was told it can be delivered the following Wednesday 30th March. Got the emails saying delivery date was the 12th of April. Spoke to dfs and was told ‘yeah stores do that alot’. Received an email the following Monday 4th April to say the status had changed on my delivery. When I checked the status said it had been delivered. Call them again and didn’t really get answer. Went back to the store and they organise to have it delivered Tuesday 5th April. They told I’ll get a time slot sent to me, which never come, more phone calls and returned to the store to find out the time, the sofa finally turned up around 4clock with parts missing which they now can’t find. After another call where they say I would either have to collect or take another day off for delivery once it was found, which when I said I can’t do as it is costing me money I was told ‘well you should be entitled to holiday.’ Just been an awful experience and the matter still isn’t resolved and still no contact from them.
Really poor customer experience in store, mis-sold probably to get the commission. We weren’t aware until the day our sofa arrived. Spent hours chasing on the phone, went in store to receive similar service from another adviser. I’d recommend anyone thinking of using the romford store, to avoid it.
Please be warned!!! I went in about 7.30pm, didn’t want to wait 4 months for a sofa, so picked a brand new one on Clearence. I was convinced to pay a deposit, which I did. When I realized that night, I have to wait two weeks to get the display, I canceled the order the following morning. I canceled by ringing HO, as that was the tel no on my order form. After 3 days, I didn’t get a refund, I went into the store, Gallows corner to get my deposit back; NO CHANCE. I was told it has to come from head office and it will take 14 days. Neither the branch or HO could explain why they want to keep my money for 2 weeks. They had a coffee table for £350 on display, I offered to accept that exchange instead of waiting for a refund; NO CHANCE! If the money does not on my bank statement on the 14th day, I’m phoning trading standards at 9am.
I went there with my partner today because we were looking to buy a new sofa however it turned out to be an utter disappointment. We went there for a brief look and looking for someone to assist us but there was no one. Then we went out to see something else in Next and then came back again to browse in details. We liked one sofa and started looking for someone who could assist us. There were only 2 people on the floor one lady was talking to another customer about her personal life asking her if she was married or not how many children she has. there was no talk about selling the sofa. Another gentleman was busy with a lady again talking about something not relevant sales. After waiting for 45 minutes we finally left and went to Furniture World and found a sofa of out choice and bought it right there. This store is a shame and people work there is even bogger shame utter timewaster and extremely disappointing. Don't waste your Saturday there, just go somewhere else if you are looking for a decent sofa.
Farook was a star this evening, as he expedited my purchase with the utmost professionalism. He clearly knows a lot about his area of expertise. I cannot be happier with the level of service and with the quality of the sofa. Well done:-
I've dealt with some terrible companies in 47 years but DFS and their Romford branch are World Champions without competition. Should have listened to the lady who was ranting at the manager Bay when we were in there placing our order. Bay the store manager is one of the most ignorant rude and incompetent "people" its ever been my displeasure to meet. I've bought three sofas form DFS in the last 14 years. Will never buy from them again. 100% satisfaction guarantee means nothing to Bay. He tried every underhanded subversive tactic he could to stall us returning the order.Was dropped and broken when delivered. Bay said that's how the one is in the showroom !!!!! Engineer "Dave" is as much if an engineer as my cat. If there's a light grey L shape sofa in the "cheap" section from next week...don't buy it...it was mine and its knackered !!! Pitiful and shameful.
