Very pleased with our purchase we wanted a larger size than most of the sofas shown in sales room. Sales person was able to tell us exactly which came in a size and a colour we wanted. Communication regarding delivery was somewhat painful with bank like security questions before they would talk to me even though it was them that called me. Real pain when your taking the call in a public place. Delivery was good and on time
Lovely store with lots of items to choose from. We found exactly what we were looking for a couple of two-seater settees. We met the most knowledgeable friendly salesman called Josh, who was most informative and helpful.
Sent wrong items but give the staff praise were it is due manager sorted it all in 1or2 hours then had a great day in Carlisle
Still waiting for damaged sofa to be exchanged after nine months. If you receive damaged furniture refuse to have it left in your home. Once it's there it appears to be yours despite being delivered in used condition.
Would like to say a big thank you to Josh for helping us pick out and buy our settee. He had great product knowledge and great customer service. He made the purchase very easy with no stress. A credit to your company.
Order placed hope it lasts better than my last one from dfs years ago Update arrived yesterday and after the delivery team left muddy footprints on my new carpet the nearly £3000 tetrad leather sofa is in place…. 7 hours later 4 of the button tops have popped off 7 hours unbelievable I’ve rang but they need 24-72 hrs to get back to me It’s going back regardless absolute rubbish
Sadly, my experience of the customer service from DFS, Carlisle is extremely poor. The sales pitch was first rate to get you to purchase, but sadly the after care was seriously lacking. Buyers beware, please check very carefully your products when they are delivered. My first delivery 3 part corner sofa had a stained cushion which resulted in a new cover for 1 cushion, but this was only after various phonecalls and a return visit to store as the delivery personnel had not reported the fault as they said they would. On closer inspection one section of the corner unit had infact been made a year prior to the other two! Amongst other things the stitching was different, the zips were different, and the lining different on the cushions. After numerous phonecalls and 2 visits, which we had to be in for, so that someone could come and ' look', the manager from Carlisle finally contacted me and a replacement arranged. This arrived mid August 2023, the initial purchase being made in November 2022. It took repeated return visits to store, phonecalls and emails and 10 months to complete my order. Not to mention the fact you have to pay before delivery unless you have taken out a finance option. You cannot call the store directly. I had previously bought from the store without issue but this experience will make me look elsewhere in the future.
I popped into DFS Carlisle for some sofa inspiration... but left sadly unimpressed. I was almost immediately pounced on by a sales person predictable which is something that always gets my back up. And the sofas ... I understand that the store wants to showcase some of it's bigger, brighter pieces - but when you live in a traditional Cumbrian cottage these are simply irrelevant. Yes, they had some lovely pieces, but most were vastly impractical - very at home in their showroom location, but impossible to house in a typical stone cottage. I came away with less inspiration than I'd walked through the doors with. Come on DFS, we don't all live in huge modern loft apartments... show us something we can actually fit in our homes! And spherical 'football' cushions as standard??! ...see pic...
Absolutely shocking service. Damaged goods delivered, waiting a week for a call, complaints to managers ignored. Worst company I've ever dealt with, go elsewhere.
We weren't able to get what we were looking for, but came out with a very nice coffee table at a bargain price.
