Absolutely appalling experience. i dont know if it is because i went as an NHS emergency patient, but the treatment was horrible. The receptionist has no manners, i walked in greeting her with a smile and she was rude and offstandish, it was honestly shocking how rude she was whitish hair, brown eyes. The dentist was actually lovely so nothing to say, but i went with a very severe abscess and the only thing they did was prescribe me the most common type of antibiotics they could think of and sent me on my merry way. I really dont know what i paid the nhs fee for as literally nothing was done for my emergency.
My trips to the dentist turned out to be very positive. I been visiting Dr. Razia Merali at the clinic regularly and each time the dental treatment I am booked in for has been performed so well, there’s never been any issues afterward. She’s kind, very reassuring and provides me with information about my teeth as well as guidance on how to best look after them. Aiming for that perfect smile :!
A comfortable and reassuring experience! My dental hygienist, Sue, and dental nurse, Alison, were excellent! Putting me at ease throughout the procedure, allaying fears. They also took the time to answer any questions I had. Highly recommend!
Absolutely lovely staff that are always happy and accommodating. The hygienist is excellent at her job and goes out the way to make sure you have an excellent clean as well as giving sound advice. Receptionist is always happy and smiling when booking and rebooking appointments. All of this adds to a happy working environment and family atmosphere... You know you are being taken care off!!! ;
Cannot describe how happy I am with this practice. Have a genuine fear of the dentist and I would take annual leave to travel to Nottingham to continue seeing the family dentist who I trusted and had great bedside manner. When I started to get toothache and couldn't go to Nottingham I tried a Bupa dentist in London and the woman was arrogant, not gentle, and quoted me nearly £3k for fillings. Found Dental Design Studio on list of NHS dentists and it couldn't have been better. Ravi was amazingly kind and gentle and didn't rush and explained what he was doing and why. He is clearly an excellent dentist and did a great job with my filings but he is also warm and welcoming and put me at complete ease throughout the 5 visits. The reception staff and Ravi's assistant were equally welcoming and seemed passionate about what they were doing. Couldn't recommend this practice highly enough.
DO NOT go here. Went in for a check-up covered under band 1 of the NHS treatment which should include "if necessary...a scale and polish". The appointment, minus my questions afterwards, lasted no more than 1 and a half minutes zero exaggeration here. Put the glasses on, lie back, say "ah" a few times all the while the assistant isn't logging anything on the computer. Finished ???? The dentist then printed a list of services that she recommended as part of my follow-up treatment totaling around £360 including a scale and polish not free of course, £70+ which she told me was NECESSARY as I had mild gingivitis. When I called up afterwards to ask why this wasn't included, the receptionist told me they would call back later. They then phoned my wife later saying they wanted to talk to me but didn't have my number but I called the practice with that same number?. The dentist is also the hygienist apparently so I really do wonder what the excuse was. To top it all off, and what ultimately led me to writing this longgg review, is that I just received an email telling me that if I don't continue the treatment plan which I was told was completely optional I would be "removed from their NHS list". Now imagine you go through exactly the same thing as a private patient, as my wife did, and pay over £80. The follow-up treatment recommendation was identical, how about that!. Never thought I'd be calling a health check-up a scam but this is exactly what this is.
Small dental practise, some equipment was broken, staff friendly, however prices are exploitative. I was quoted one price over the phone and another in person - £59 for an appointment and £19 for a single X-Ray please be aware before you go.
The dental practise had an excellent customer service text message to remind about the appointment and extremely kind to rearrange if needed. Moreover exceptional professionalism from Dr. Nahal Sadry, she is excellent in reassuring and explaining the practises throughout the process very happy to take the time to answer any questions.
Don't get me wrong, the dentists and nurses are great when you get there, but communicating with the practice is appalling. I've been going to the practice for the past 15 years, and they still don't seem to get a handle on it. I don't understand why they don't make sure someone either answers their phones, or get one of those new online booking systems many other practices are using. Don't get me started on their referrals. There has been significant delays in referrals reaching hospitals and even not being sent to them.
I am very pleased to have found this place. Everyone in the clinic is so lovely and helpful that I now feel completely at ease and comfortable with seeing the dentist. Many thanks to Dr Ravi, Anna and Marina who always manage to put a smile on my face.
