Deli on the Quay

Story

Deli on the Quay has been established for almost 5 years now and we're one of the best places to have lunch in Poole! With our delicious homemade and locally sourced food, amazing coffee and fantastic views over the harbour, we are completely unique in what we offer. The atmosphere is busy but relaxed and although we're an upscale delicatessen with fine food and wine, prices are very reasonable. Coffee, Cakes, Sandwiches, Quiches, Salads, Wine, Gourmet Products and much, much more!

This is a nice cafe on the harbor at Poole. The place is a quaint little place next to the waterfront on a busy stretch. It’s a cafe but it also sells some products. So you might have some people looking at the shelves around you. They also have some nice outdoor sitting. We ordered coffee and a goat cheese and sweet potato pie and Beef and Stilton pie. The pies were both served with some salad and were both good but not amazing. The coffee was fine also. It’s a good place for a brunch after a walk around the harbor. Overall a nice place sitting next to the harbor with some decent food
We had the full English breakfast it was just amazing... we both do not like beans, so when ordering, we told the waitress who very promptly asked what would we like extra of instead of beans we told her in a short space of time our drinks were brought over to us closely followed by our breakfast Thank you Food: 5/5
Great little cafe with a good atmosphere but only downside is that it is quite a small cafe! We are a family of 4 and struggled to get our double pram in. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, would definitely recommend!! Only reason for 4 stars was due to the size other a really good place for lunch!Recommended dishesBacon and Brie Panini, Pulled Pork Burger
Come here often as we live in Poole. It's a lovely place to sit outside in the sun and watch the world go by! Great service, coffee, milkshakes and food.Food: 5/5
Great cafe in such a lovely location overlooking Poole Harbour! If you manage to get a seat outside at the right time of day, this can be quite a great little sun trap! My family and I had coffees and cakes and personally the coffee was spot on and the blondie was one of the nicest I’ve ever had! The staff are also very friendly and are accepting of your four legged friends! Would recommend giving this cafe a try even for a cake & coffee or perhaps even a bite to eat for lunch! Very nice!
I went into this cafe last weekend and was greeted rather rudely by a young girl with blonde hair, I don’t remember seeing a name tag however she seemed to be the only one on the shift within the time 12-1pm on the Saturday I visited. I went to order, and she stated ‘what do you want?’ rather than politely greeting me and requesting my order. She then grabbed the money out of my hand, since I only had cash/wasn’t paying contactless, and when she provided my change, she put it onto the desk rather than handing it to me like a normal employee. I understand that this isn’t the manager’s fault, however I believe that this girl should not be within this job field, and would work better in a factory or a non-sociable role. I really hate to say it, but this young girl really isn’t fitted for this beautiful cafe, and she really is bringing you down.
Lovely location and lovely food! We ordered a crab sandwich, homemade quiche and sides. All were really tasty and fresh. There was so much choice it was hard to decide what to have! The pastry section had a great selection too. The Victoria sponge cake was very light and moist - highly recommend. The decor inside is cosy and they allow dogs which is great!
I did come the day before also, returned for the full english and laVazza Coffee. It doesn't really matter where you sit, all good. Fresh eggs, meat, polite staff. Back again in Poole for Dr Feelgood, early lunch here. Coffee with fresh bread, or panini, if your posh, lol
Visited Poole quay today.... Had to stop for a spot of lunch... Enjoyed a nice Americana and Mokka. Followed by a Pulled pork and coleslaw bap and fuscattia with smoked ham and cheese. Lovely food and drink, great service and well priced. Thank you
Had a delicious breakfast here before visiting Brownsea Island.Food: 5/5
