I love Chinese food and Iv eaten it all over the world. I'm not mucking about here but I want to go on record and say that nothing else iv had anywhere else comes close to these guys. Their food is fresh clean and amazingly tasty. Their BBQ sauce is the best in the world (for me) their prawn balls are heavenly....and just try the swet and sour chemicken in bread crumbs after a night out ..(I order an extra BBQ sauce on top of the sweet and sour) ....i cant speak highly enough of lotus take away. I just wish they delivered to Poole. Haha.

Staying nearby with my girlfriend for Christmas, we decided to get a Chinese takeaway from this place and were very disappointed. The menu was pleasingly cheap (3.90 per main dish), although with hindsight this should have been a warning sign. The dishes came in a suspicious 3-4 minutes and had the distinct appearance of mass-produced meals that had been re-heated. Possibly even from a factory, although that may be unfair; certainly all the vegetables were cubed into identical pieces, but perhaps the restaurant simply has their own chopping machine. We ordered chicken satay, beef with cashew nuts and shredded chilli chicken. All three were the same gloopy consistency and tasted really bland. We were left extremely unimpressed - don't order from this place if you're after something fresh and tasty.
