Visited with a friend and had an absolutely fab time! I am an animal keeper myself and could see all the animals looked very well cared for and healthy. Would have loved to see some more signage with names and breeds but the website had lots of info about them for anyone interested. Staff were all very friendly and the gardens were lovely. Would definitely recommend, a lovely peaceful space within the city, worth more than the £2 suggested donation.
Went here with my friend the other day and it was quite a nice experience! A friendly atmosphere with a cafe and shop in place, definitely recommend visiting here: There's also volunteering opportunities and other activities that you can apply for so make sure to check that out if it's something that could interest you!
Visited today, we always make sure we support our local farm throughout the holidays/half terms. I booked for my two little ones to do the pony riding experience each which is one round each on the pony one at a time with two people assisting them. It's a nice experience to have despite my son only being 3 years old but he really did enjoy it as it was his first time. The farm overall has lots on and organise events and activities for all ages/stages often. Their website always has the full information and updates regarding the dates and times and costs which are usually not too deer. They have a small cafe and gift shop on site which also sells animal food £1 a bag which is also enjoyable for the children as well as the adults. We fed the goats today but the only sad point was that there were no pigs or llamas today. There is also a playground on site and picnic benches. We also took part in the meet in greet with a few of the smaller animals which is also one of my favourites. Tickets to the farm are free but must be booked in advance. The dates and times are online but the farm does run on donations so £5 a visit at least does help towards them improving things and taking care of the animals. Make sure to check it out if you pass or are local.
Best place to take your kids to see some farm animals. Entry is free of cost but they accept donations if we would like to give. We can buy food for the animals from the store and the kids can feed them.
Really enjoyed today's Farm Fest! The farm was really busy with lots of activities for little children. Good local entertainment that could be watched sitting on straw bales near the animals.. Everything seemed very well organised. Thank you for a lovely day!
Wonderful day out with kids yesterday! The car park was packed so we missed our ukulele tour but the ukulele guy kindly offered to do another one as we had paid and also let another kid come free as it was the last one. We had such a lovely time!
A wonderful urban farm to visit. As a visitor, entree is free, and you can feed the animals - sheep and goats - with animal feed for £1. An array of animals to look at, including ferrets, guinea pigs, rabbits, rats, tortoise, donkeys, cows, birds, ducks, chickens and turkeys. I had my year 10 work experience here last year summer. One of the best experiences I've had. Since I love animals, I enjoyed interacting, feeding and looking after the animals, aswell as cleaning their pens. A great place to volunteer. Other facilities include relatively clean toilets, a place to wash hands, a cafe and bench areas to eat, a kid's playground, a souvenir shop, and a riding school.
Cruel to the animals - enclosed in small dirty enclosures lacking any stimulation or free space to roam. Animals like ferrets, rabbits, ducks and birds should not be kept in a cage - they need to be in the wild. The poor ducks are given a child’s paddling pool to swim in…. How does this make any logical sense? The water is stale and stagnant and many of the birds can be seen plucking their feathers out due to stress, depression and boredom. You’re allowed to pet the rabbits and guinea pigs for a small fee - this is extremely cruel and disturbing for the animals. Animals are not human property and do not need to be petted. This does not teach children anything but that animals are there for human pleasure and entertainment. Animals deserve respect and autonomy. Why do places like this exist in 2024? So outdated and cruel. Poor animals. Teach your kids and young children better than to visit and support a place like this that exploits animals.
Love this farm, feel so lucky to have it in our local area. I used to come when I was a child and I’ve recently started coming again with my toddler. It’s so lovely for her - she requests we go and it’s very hard to say no! They have a riding school as well. Free entry, but a donation is welcome. They have a cafe in the farm and a playground. So lucky to have this in Merton! It’s absolutely beautiful
Great farm which we completely stumbled upon by accident. Came here for Easter and took part in the Easter trail which was good fun. Good selection of animals and even horse and pony riding if booked in advance. The food from the cafe was a bit expensive but lovely all the same. Staff we encountered seemed friendly. The farm was busy but spacious enough to host all the people there. There’s even a playground which is a great addition. Animal feed is not too costly either. Would definitely recommend and it’s free!
