This is one of the most well maintained parks I've visited in Manchester. Abundance of trees present a tranquil atmosphere. Lovely walks and views of the reservoir - beautiful
Very nice, good range of paths, plenty of birdlife on the reservoirs, great variety of trees and shrubs, toilets actually open.
A great place to go for a relaxed walk, a run, a race and a workout and for children of all ages to play or climb a tree or two in a beautiful, well looked-after green space. Walk through woodland, chill on the grass or near the water, have a picnic and watch the sunset. Refreshing after a busy day or week - like a mini-vacation.
Debdale is delightful. Lovely area to walk around. Especially around the 'lake'. Great place for the children to play, with a park. An Ice cream van. So much nature here too. Places to play sports. Even a table-tennis table. Also regular activities and planned events. A wonderful local park
Great place for the whole family to enjoy. There’s a funfair on at the moment while the kids are off school so weather permitting that’s a great bonus to keep the kids occupied. Lovely gardens, great for walking with the added bonus of the the reservoir also which has plenty of wildlife to enjoy. Playground: Children’s playground had lots of things that kids enjoy. Restrooms: Toilets were open, clean and very busy as the weather was glorious! Dog-friendliness: Definitely dog friendly as plenty were being walked on their leads enjoying the park. Picnic area: Plenty of tables/seating around the park. Also lots of grass to enjoy your picnic if you prefer to sit on blankets.
Really nice place to spend a day with family. There are huge parks for picnics or simply to sit or for kids to play. People can ride bikes on the tracks, or even run. It is very peaceful and generally quiet. There are some play areas for children too. The views are nice.
Only walked around a small part of it. Struggled to park, signs tell you to park on the outdoor pursuits car park, which is only small so I would imagine it gets full very quickly during school holidays or at weekends. Facilities seemed quite good. Bowling green, children's play area and a cafe didn't go in.
Lovely park, also lovely walks round the park.. we built a den which my nephew loved doing! also a big field where we could play football, bat and ball, Frisbee spent a few hours there. Well kept we didn't see rubbish around toilets are not very clean and one in the ladies had no loo roll Playground: plenty on the park in good condition.
Maps took me down an awful country road to get there. When I arrived I realised there’s no car park. The Apiary is no longer an apiary, which is misleading as the entire outer wall is artistically painted to lead you to think it’s still an apiary. Playground: The playground was quite good for the little ones. They also have a small orchard next to it. Otherwise, quite a small park.
Love this park, great play park for the kids and a fab walk round with the dogs ! Also water sports available - great to watch if you’re not brave enough.
