I found the accommodation and staff to be really good. Helpful and flexible when we said our flight arrived early. Nothing too much trouble. The rooms were spotless and comfortable. Only down side was nothing to do with the room -surprisingly, the campus was covered in litter! All the bins were full?!!

Once you find this campus it is clean and comfortable. It takes 15 minutes on the bus into the city centre. Breakfast was included and adequate. Overall it's fine for a short city break away.

Where to start... Handy location and free parking, decent breakfast offering, handy bar on campus, thats about it for the good stuff. The room, to basic, lacking some slight refinements that would have vastly improved it. First of all, we booked a double and found two singles pushed together, no attempt to even pass as a double. One pillow each was dissappointing. No mirror in room so you have to stretch to do your hair with a dryer/straighteners in the batroom mirror. No curtains, even though they mention one on a security sticker! There was a blind but it hardly kept the light out. Window barely opens enough to let in some air and didn't lock closed properly. While we knew there wouldn't be any utensils for cooking or eating, it was advertised as having tea and coffee making facilities, these comprised of a kettle, mugs, tea, coffee, sugar.. No spoons to stir your drink or milk if you have that, how on earth do you make a cuppa properly without a spoon?. The biggest problem we had is that despite signs about noise all over the blocks, there was a large group of travellers outside making noise well into the early hours. My partner got up and 1:30am to get the security guard who didn't so a perticularly good job at moving job. Come 2:30am when they woke me up. I was about to go out and have words when they finally got tired enough to go inside.. There where a mix of other families and guest staying around the blocks so would have all been disturbed by them. Disappointed that security didn't move them on earlier. Overall we have stayed in much nicer hotels and hostels for less money. Yes Dublin is expensive but I feel this location isn't worth the money, even for Dublin. Avoid unless you need to park a car and can't find anything else...

I was here participating in an English Immersion Program for people from Poland and Hungary for 10 days. We each had a private ensuite room with a single bed, desk area, shelves and a rack for clothing. Elevator, and lounge on each floor with small kitchenette, refrig, microwave and sink. Several places to eat on campus , except on the weekends. Local bus service 5 minute walk. Off campus several shops were available for food and drinks. Concierge staff were super!! I would stay again, on my nickle.

Mijn vader had 2 nachten gewonnen bij DCU Rooms: Over de kamer: Netjes ingericht en schoon met een TV, veel stopcontacten en bekabeld internet aansluiting (ook wifi aanwezig). Raam in de kamer kan niet ver open dus was wel erg benauwd! Aan het voeteinde van mijn bed was een grote blauwe vlek (schoonmaakmiddel te zien). Er zijn gedeelde voorzieningen die u met enkele andere gasten deelt in een woonkamer naast de kamers met onder andere een grote hete luchtoven, inductie kookplaat, koelkast met vriesvak, borden, bestek, etc. Prima! Bij aankomst in hotel waren er nog kleine deeltjes poep te zien in de wc-pot dat was wel wat minder maar met doortrekken was dat gelijk verholpen. Voor de rest enkele kalkaanslag/viezigheid op de kranen en het afvoerputje van de wasbak, douche was keurig schoon en de vloeren ook! Beperkte mogelijkheid voor het laten drogen van handdoeken. In de nacht veel geluidsoverlast van jongeren, mogelijk studenten of mede-toeristen die onder andere schreeuwden, door megafonen gingen praten of harde muziek draaiden. Mede hierdoor en door de beperkte ventilatie op de kamer een matige nachtrust gehad. Over het ontbijtbuffet (1838 Club): Scrambled Eggs waren koud een beetje te vloeibaar en smakeloos, er was ook nergens zout te vinden. Worstjes zelfde verhaal, veel te koud naar mijn idee. Het personeel achter de kantine heeft het druk en en dat merk je goed aan hun licht snauwerige gedrag. De locatie was erg moeilijk te vinden (vele gebouwen) en slecht aangegeven op veel te kleine en nauwelijks aanwezige bordjes. Uiteindelijk maar de weg gevraagd aan een docent van de DCU die uiterst behulpzaam was. Kortom als u houdt van rust, hygiëne, een goed ontijt, vriendelijke mensen en het erg vind om tussen grote groepen studenten/kinderen te lopen/te verblijven ga hier dan alstublieft niet heen!
