I have been a customer at this practice for many years. Since David has left it’s just become a struggle to get through to the “friendly” dragons on reception. I seriously was concerned for my pet, I have a big heart, if I have a concern and my pet is in pain- should you not do the right thing and head to the “professionals” to help you and your pet? Well called today to get told no appointments and to call back tomorrow wasn’t bothered about my concern, or even asked what was wrong with my pet to see if they could see my pet as an emergency or an advice call etc. i thought to work on reception and that type of environment you needed to have love and care for animals as well as the human kind. If so you need to change that on your job description! I honestly don’t know what’s happened to the practice & staff but they seriously need to have a wake up call. I just hope none of them ever have an emergency with a loved one if that being a pet or a family member. And they don’t get treated like I did today. However vets for pets were lovely. Nothing was to much trouble.
No compassion for the pets or the owners, felt rushed to make a decision on my pets life and wasn’t even given a moment alone to decide. The vet just stared at us like we should be able to make the decision instantly, after we sadly made the decision to let her rest in peace, the receptionist didn’t say anything no sorry for your loss , condolences or any eye contact just made me wait while she prepared the bill and told me how much then I paid she said thank you. When I look back on, it feels like every step of the way from the phone call to the visit they were just waiting to take the most of my money they could. Would not recommend for exotic animals
Excellent and friendly service. Found the pet care plans very reasonable and we feel our little furry friends are in great hands.
I currently have two dogs there, nice warm welcome and well priced compared to other vets. Also I don't have to wait long for an appointment which is a plus
If there was an option to give zero stars I would. VERY disgusting reception staff. my dog lost all stability in his back legs I called to say I was so scared and need help if I can get booked in as it was a emergency was told by her I’n her own words. IM SORRY WE HAVE NO BOOKING. As I tried to explain with my tears running down my face my dog is in a Lot of pain and can’t move STILL she didn’t want to understand and said I’m sorry is there anything else I can help you with when I told her yes can I book my dog in for a emergency she cut the phone. my dog has passed away now as I had to take it to RSPCA for emergency and they said she is in lots of pain and pain killer won’t help r.i.p my beautiful soul AVOID AVOID AVOID And to that disgraceful staff hope your day comes soon to suffer that way I did you learn you a life lesson
We would like to give a very special thank you to the super team at Biscot Mill Veterinary Clinic. We have been going to this practice for over 30 years. When our wonderful Maisie was diagnosed with late stage Kidney failure at 16 years old, Callum was very mindful, professionally and compassionate. I truly believe he loves his job. Over the coming weeks Callum was on hand for any support or advice when needed. When the time came for us to say goodbye he gave us peace of mind and reassurance with empathy. This will always be remembered and appreciated in what was such a difficult and sad situation. Thank you - Suzanne, Mark & Holly Taylor
Rushed appointments with little thoughts of advice. Chloe on reception is lovely, along with one young veterinary nurse. However, the other receptionist is very rude. Her tone of voice and attitude towards customers is something difficult to work with. She has an attitude of she knows best and refuses to accept conversation. She refuses to offer certain help, but when speaking to other staff members they will gladly help.
Such a pleasant and quick service! Got me an appointment for my rat Chester within 30 minutes of calling - and then when my taxi cancelled on me and I couldn't get there in the 30 mins they let me rebook for 5 o'clock same day it was no issue! The reception was so nice and kind and easy to talk too and the vet was very patient and lovely with Chester! Honestly the first time I've ever had a pet that needed a vet appointment and I was nervous - they made it such a nice experience.
Found a damaged racing pigeon. The local vets where not interested and said leave it in the garden. We have 3 cats. Biscot Mill accepted it happily. Treated it and sent it to woodys to recover. Kept us updated on its progress. Lovely people, good practice.
