Starting with the obvious, David Lloyd's is not cheap that said is it worth the fee? Yes, in my case 3 times in the gym and a 2 to 3 classes a week makes it as good value as a lower costing gym with less facilities. The staff are generally friendly and helpful. There is a reasonable menu of snacks and meals. The bar serves both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. There is of course a gym, indoor and outdoor tennis courts as well as the expected sauna, steam room and jacuzzi.
We booked a tour a week ago, after my daughter and her family recently joined and recommended to us. Karolina called twice to confirm our guided tour. She was very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful, asking what we were most interested in doing at the gym. After viewing the excellent facilities and seeing for ourselves what they had to offer we knew it would be ideal for us. The atmosphere relaxing, family orientated and the long opening hours suitable for our requirements with ample parking. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, the Café is a lovely sociable area to meet up with family/friends. Platinum package a little more expensive but no hidden extras and after our first visit can't wait to return to try several classes.
Love the updated pool and blaze! Tennis courts are great both inside and out. Gym is great and has a calming atmosphere. Love coming to this club.
Place is really becoming run down. Air conditioning not working. Indoor pool was closed the other day due to issues with the cleanliness. Changing rooms have loads of broken lockers, broken tiles. Changing areas especially from the pool into the Changing room is really dirty along with the shower area. Basketball court over grown and can't play. Email sent 2 months ago and no response. For the money it is really bad and not worth the money.
Be very careful at this overpriced gym, a lot of other reviews mention the poor state of the facilities, but there is also a problem with theft! The staff seem aware, but the gym isn't in the best of area's.
Could do with some serious updates and a good through freshen up to be honest. Staff are helpful and the kids section is brilliant idea so adults can go to the gym!
I came for trial £14 - 14 days however due to personal circumstances only used the gym once after induction. Few months later I wanted to try the club again as circumstances changes & booked another trial to get a full experience. Unfortunately you cannot get a second trial, I explained my circumstances and a guy on the phone said he would ask his boss to wavier and give me a second trial. I called back 2 days later as heard no news and the sales manager said his name was 'monkey'. I said sorry did you say monkry and he took offence. He then said he will refuse to refund me... After me complaining he changed his tune and refund is due to be processed tomorrow. See how that goes. Very dissatisfied and disappointed by the clubs service and way they speak so condencending, particularly the sales manager.
Not sure who is in charge of communications/customer service at the Dudley centre but defo is not doing the right thing. Im trying to get my money back for some classes my daughter's been enrolled for without my agreement since the 3rd of December, sent multiple emails, enquiries via the app, requested call backs , been at the reception 4 times. still...they ignored all communication and wont process that refund. to say they play hardball with customers is an understatement and I would advise anyone thinking to join to think twice or be very carefull with them as they overcharge you or enroll you for different classes without your knowledge and thereafter ignore all your attempts to get rid of these charges! the point of this business is to help people relax but instead you have to chase money they take without your agrement ! Such a shame and so unprofessional!
Had a Lovely Visit to David Lloyd in Brierley Hill Lovely Tour of the Premises and was show around by Chelsea who was lovely and explained everthing to us we managed to have a free Swim Indoor and Outdoor with the Jacquizza as well it was nice and My Grandaughter loved the Pools as well afterwards we had a drink outside and my Grandaughter enjoyed a Meal bless bless all in all a lovely day x
I wanted to love this gym. It has so much potential. It's over £75 for a platinum membership. In the year and a half of having a membership the following issues have occurred: repeated pool closures, air conditioning out, several machines out of order, no towel service and today the water is out. The club desperately needs a refurbishment. I would like to know exactly what are we paying for as the affordable gyms are looking like a better option everyday.
